Storm awoke from a slightly dangerous sleep. He had fallen asleep while flying, which was never a good idea, as one could crash and possibly drown if flying above the ocean, which he was currently doing. Storm gave his wings a quick flap, followed by a sting of pain passing through his shoulder blades. He yelped. Obviously, Storm had been flying for too long. He had of course, flown all night, with short naps in between. Luckily, the wind had kept up and allowed him to remain in the sky.
Storm yawned and glanced down to see where he was. Below him was of course the ocean, but it was something up ahead that caught his eye: An island! Finally, he could rest. Storm dove the short distance to the cliff face on the closest side, and collapsed in a tired heap. He was exhausted, to say the least. It was only a few moments before he entered into a tired slumber.

Snap.
Storm's head shot up, and he was immediately on alert. Although now silent, the woods in front of him contained another presence, he was sure if it. Darn it! He shouldn't have let himself fall asleep without checking the area first! Storm slowly rose to his feet, careful not to make to much noise. He had no idea how long he had slept for.
A small noise caught his attention further. Something, or someone, was definitely watching. Storm narrowed his eyes and let out a low growl. Suddenly, a device flew out of the bushes and wrapped itself around Storm's face. He shrieked in surprise and tried to yank it off with his front paws. He heard shouting, and then another item of the same type wrapped around his tail. Storm finally ripped the first off his face and let out a roar, but it was cut short by something jumping on his head.
A human.
Annoyed, Storm threw it off, opened his wings and leapt into the air. He only rose a couple of meters before he fell back to the ground again. Panicked, Storm flapped wildly, flinging himself all over the ground. Another device, which he now recognized as a net, connected with his face again. Then he felt a prick in his neck, and everything went black.

Storm awoke inside of a cage, alike to the ones Alora used to put him in. Which did not bring back good memories. Storm gave the air a sniff. It was tainted with the smell of humans, dragons, and something he couldn't quite place. A loud bang on Storm's cage caused him to jump. A human laughed, and threw a rock a Storm. Annoyed, Storm growled, and lightning rose in the back of his throat. With one quick spew, the man yelped and leapt away from the cage in terror, coming very close to death as lightning tore through the cage. The result was a small hole between the bars. A different human walked up, and patted the first on the shoulder. "This is a new one... Yeah, he'll definitely sell for a lot on the market. Maybe we can even get ol' Grimmal to buy him? He's a collector of dragons like this," The man said with a laugh. The first turned to his partner. "Possibly. But even if it's not to him we could make a lot. An exotic one like this... Maybe Hemley could use him in one of those sacrifice things he does." The two walked away, laughing, as Storm roared in their wake.
All through the afternoon, Storm tried to escape. He tried to shoot lightning through the bars again, but quickly realized he was out of power. He fired plasma blasts, much to the delight and fear of the humans, but they only blew up in his face. So much for that plan. By the end of the day, the Skrill Fury was effectively worn out, and he lay in his cage, trying to fall asleep. He did not know what the humans' plan was for him, but by the way they treated him, it couldn't be anything good. He remembered that his mother had told stories of how cruel the humans could be, and that they sometimes tortured their prey [Dragons] for fun, before finally killing them to eat. Storm shuddered. He would not let that happen to himself. The very thought was disgusting. So as night fell, Storm continued to try to escape.
Hey guys! I'm sorry it's been a while. I was looking at this book, and realized that it could probably use a new cover. What do y'all think? Also, Storm is currently 10 years old, (Which I changed in chapter 5 as well) because I thought that would make a bit more sense.
