Chapter 5 -- Ben

Ben's POV

I am walking in the road when someone starts running towards me. I run the other way as fast as I can. I start screaming.

Ross's POV

I wake up to see my phone vibrating. I look at it to see my alarm going off. "Wrong time stupid phone." Suddenly, I hear screaming and I know exactly where it came from. I run to Ben's room and see him shaking. I run to him and pull him into my arms. He finally wakes up and he starts crying. He puts his head in my chest and cries. "Shhhh... its alright Ben, I'm here. " I turn around to see Rydel smiling at me. He finally calms down and soon, falls asleep in my arms. I pick him up and lightly place him back into his bed. He places his small hand around my arm. "Stay here." He says lightly. "I will." He scoots over and I get in the bed beside him. I pull him over so he can put his head on my chest. "I love you Ben" "I love you too Ross." We fall asleep in this position.

I wake up to see Ben still asleep. "Wake up Ben" He moves around and finally lifts up. He opens his arms and I hug him. "Good morning Ben." "Good Morning Ross." We pull away and I get up. "So what are you going to where today?" "I don't know." "Hold on I might have something." I run to my room and grab a pair of Hollister Pants and a Hollister shirt with a Hollister Belt. I walk back down to his room and give him the clothes. He walks into the bathroom and starts changing. I walk back up to my room and get changed into basically the same thing I gave Ben except newer and bigger. I walk back down and he asks "Ross, little help please." I walk in and he says "these pants are a little too big." "Yea, I see. Well we don't need them sagging. But I do like your taste in underwear. Pink American Eagle." He laughs "I'll go get you some smaller ones." I walk back upstairs and get a smaller pair of pants and walk back to Ben. "Here you go." I hand him the pants and he changes. "Can you do my hair for me?" "Sure." I grab his comb and ask "how do you usually have it?" "Like yours." I smile and do his hair. Once done, we walk to the kitchen and I see Rydel with her head down. "Good morning Rydel." "Morning Ross." "You feeling okay?" "Not really." "I'll walk Ben to school if you don't want to go anywhere. " "yea. Thanks Ross." She looks at Ben. "You look nice." "Thanks." I grab a few eggs and some pancake mix and make some pancakes and eggs. I give him his and he eats it up. "Weren't hungry were you?" "Yea." He gets up and puts his plate in the sink and clean it. "Ready to go?" "Yea." He grabs his sweater. (Guess what brand it is :D ) He puts it on and walks over to his bookbag. He picks it up and he hugs Rydel. "Bye Delly." "Bye Ben." We walk out the door and I say "So, what are you doing in school?" "Well, in math we are learning Multiplication. In English, we are doing grammer stuff." "So no fun stuff." "We do have a Valentines party today." "Awesome. You gonna get all the girls." He laughs. We talk all the way to the school.

Once we get to the school, he says "thanks for walking me to school." "No problem buddy. I'll see you later." "Bye Ross, love you." He hugs me. "Love you too." He walks into the school and I start walking back.

I walk in to a CVS to get Rydel some medicine. Once I find the right stuff, I pay for it and walk out. I go to call Rydel when I notice I don't have it. "Must be at home." I say to myself. I start my walk home.

I walk into the house and see Rydel moving around but still not looking to well. "Rydel, take some of this." I open the box and pull out the bottle. I open it and I pour some into the cup that comes with it. "Here you go Delly." She takes it and says "Thank you Ross." "Your welcome Delly." We walk over to the couch and she sits down. I wrap a blanket around her and sit down. She curls up next to me and I wrap my arm around her. I turn on the tv and watch a few game shows.

A couple hours later, our show is interrupted by a breaking news report. "Police on the scene tell us that the local elementary school went up in gunfire as one man shot up the school and took one kid hostage." I push on Rydel and wake her up to listen to this. "That's Ben's school!" Rydel's phone starts ringing and I run to get it. "Hello!" "Hello, Is this Rydel Lynch?" "Its her brother, Ross." "Alright, Ross, this is Principal Knight. is there anyway for you two to get down here to the school." "Yes we will be there soon." "Alright." "Bye."

We arrive at the school and we push through all of the reporters and get into the school. "Ross, Rydel. We have some terrible news. Ben was kidnapped by the attacker and they can't find him." Tears start to form in my eyes. My little brother is gone.
