Nightfall arrived again, and Sunghoon felt that it was time for him to return home. He had an innate fear of overstaying his welcome, and proposed the idea of leaving before sunset in order to not get attacked by a sudden change in the weather before reaching home. Jake was against him leaving, as he wanted to spend every waking moment with his soulmate, but the day was only so long and they only had that much time.
"Why do you have to leave?" Jake asked softly, his head resting mere centimeters away from Sunghoon's on the pillow. "Stay with me, my prince. I don't want to be lonely."
"My love," Sunghoon began softly, "I'm neglecting my home. I have to go. It's been two days, I can return tomorrow. Or… you can come to my house and I can show you around the manor."
Jake smiled softly. "I'd actually like that." He sat up straighter, looking at Sunghoon in the eye. "Fine, I'll visit you tomorrow. I'll come during the late morning hours, so be ready, okay?"
Sunghoon nodded, his hand unconsciously searching for Jake's. Their hands touched, and that familiar tingle of warmth went through Sunghoon and he smiled. All his worries dissipated and went away, leaving a much happier Sunghoon. He was far too in love at that stage, but Sunghoon could hardly give a damn.
Yes, they were merely teenagers in love — saying premature 'I love you's and holding gazes with 'forever' in them — but goodness, did Sunghoon love it. They were kids that just so happened to find each other, and the love they experienced was like no other. He knew it would only get more amazing as time passes, as they get to know each other even better.
"I want to hold you," Sunghoon muttered softly, almost unheard by the brunette boy. Jake frowned before quickly nodding, repositioning himself to be more comfortable on his bed. Jake faced away from him, and the two began spooning comfortably with Sunghoon holding Jake's waist.
"At this rate, you won't be going home," Jake joked, making the boy behind him smile slightly.
"I'll make it home, promise," Sunghoon replied softly. Silence overcame them — not the awkward kind, the kind where they somehow mutually agreed on the silence. It was comfortable, warm, sweet — all that good stuff. Jake wondered if Sunghoon himself really wanted to go home.
"You can stay, you know," Jake muttered. Sunghoon seemed to think about it before humming. "I'm serious, Sunghoon. Do you want to stay? You clearly don't want to leave."
"As much as I'd love to stay," Sunghoon began, "I must leave. Besides, ny home misses me. It needs the warmth that you gave me today."
Jake smiled. "Yeah."
Silence followed again. Jake could sense Sunghoon's gaze on him and turned around to look at the black-haired boy in the eye. His heart pulsed intensely in his chest, slowly drawing Sunghoon closer and closer. Both knew what they wanted, but they were too shy to each make the first move. Jake's cheeks burned red in nervousness. With a faint 'it's okay' from Jake, Sunghoon leaned forward and gently placed their lips together.
The world just seemed to be in complete and perfect balance at the moment of their clashing lips. Jake drew a deep breath as Sunghoon held his waist, his hand gently slipping under his white T-shirt. Jake had a hand on Sunghoon's neck to draw him closer, being as careful as he could. Their bodies seemed to melt together at that moment, as they only drew closer with each moment.
Jake ended up on Sunghoon's lap, facing him as their lips still fought a battle of love. He didn't really notice it, but Sunghoon's hands were too far up underneath his T-shirt for it to be safe. But they weren't bothered by it, so Sunghoon didn't stop. Jake had his arms wrapped around Sunghoon's neck, trying to keep him as close as possible.
"Jaeyoon…"
Sunghoon pulled away for a moment, gently running a hand through his hair before leaning forward and kissing him again. Jake heaved a contented sigh as Sunghoon never let him go. It was Jake's turn to pull away and he tilted his head to gently kiss Sunghoon's exposed neck. Sunghoon hummed softly, drawing gentle circles on Jake's sides with his thumbs.
"You're perfect like this," Sunghoon muttered, a soft sigh escaping his lips. His desire showed clearly, but Jake made no comment — because he felt the same way. But while they engaged with their forbidden desires, their hearts discussed the risk of taking it too far. Morally, they knew not to try anything. They would go as destiny guided, and they'd end up doing more when it came to it.
Sunghoon wanted to push to the limit — he wanted more without making Jake uncomfortable. Holding him on his bare skin seemed okay, but he didn't want to go too far. With careful movements, Sunghoon moved his hands lower until he got to the hem of Jake's sweatpants. Jake flinched, but stayed calm. The brunette pulled from Sunghoon's neck, connecting their lips again.
"You're beautiful," Sunghoon muttered, his chest heaving slightly as he ran out of breath. Simultaneously, Jake made him breathless with his perfect image above him. Jake was perfect in so many ways to Sunghoon, and the slightly younger male wanted to enjoy Jake's perfection in every way.
"Stay tonight," Jake whispered softly. Sunghoon was quiet as he thought the situation over. He slowly nodded and Jake smiled, resting his head on Sunghoon's shoulder. They were all loved-out, tired as they basked in the aftermath. Jake was tired — he felt like taking a nap. A nice, 8-hour nap at most. Yes, it was a full night's rest but it felt like a nap sometimes.
"I should probably shower," Sunghoon muttered, gently moving Jake to the side. "Tell your parents I'll be staying the night. I'm sure they won't mind."
"Definitely not," Jake smiled. "Your pyjama set is where you left them in my cupboard. I'll bring a pair of boxers."
Sunghoon gently kissed Jake's lips one more time before getting off the bed to get his pyjamas. Jake lied down on the bed, his head beating quickly in his chest. Oh, to be young and in love — he was simply living the dream. To be paired with such a beautiful being simply had to be the dream.
Sunghoon was Jake's favourite person, and he wouldn't let him go.
