Mr. and Mrs. Dada caught the excitement bug of the birthday celebration. They organized a birthday party for Funmi; it was a beautiful one. Titi was most glad that neither her mother nor her sister came to the party. Her joy was short-lived, Tolu came visiting a few weeks after the birthday party. The night of Tolu's arrival, Titi could not sleep, anticipating her daughter might have another nightmare. She kept checking on her daughter's ensuring she was OK, but Funmi was sleeping peacefully. Sleep finally sleep got the victory over Titi's vigil. She opened her eyes to find Tolu staring angrily at her as she laid down beside her husband. At first, Titi was surprised to see Tolu in her room, then she realized she could not move any part of her body, not even to reach out and wake her husband up.

"What have you done to her Light?" Tolu snarled.

Then she disappeared, and their mother appeared angrier than her sister. Without touching her, using telekinesis, she lifted Titi and pulled her towards her. Titi could not still move all she could do was stare into the black soulless eyes of her mother.

"How dare you? Who gave you the right? Where is her Light?"

And with that, she tossed Titi against the wall and brought her back. Titi's husband was deep in sleep. Titi wondered how her husband could still be asleep with all the noise going on or is all this happening in a dream?

"Where is it? It is ours, she is ours!" Titi's mother yelled.

She tosses Titi to another wall and brought her back.

"You will pay for what you have done. You will know pain and beg to die. Remember your father, yours will be worse," her mother barked.

Titi gained a state of calmness of mind by ignoring the drama on the outside. She refused to allow fear to take a hold of her mind rather she focused on drawing strength for her Light. Now again she is grateful for training with Iya, and with a deep sigh, her vocal cords were freed.

"Go to hell! You would never have my daughter. So go ahead, do your worse," Titi replied calmly.

Her mother releasing her Titi fell to the ground, still unable to move. Her mother sat on Titi's chest. She weighed a ton for a woman so small. She grabbed Titi by her throat, choking the life out of her.

"You think you can defeat us," Titi's mother laughed.

"You are a child. We have been here before time and we are more powerful than you. That Light walker cannot save you," she said as she increased the pressure on Titi's neck.

Titi opened her mouth, trying to say something at the same time trying to breathe. Her mother spewed out her mouth three black leeches into Titi's mouth. She felt them go down her throat and into her tummy. Then her mother let her go.

"If you return my granddaughter's Light to her before she turns ten I would spare your life, otherwise you are going to die a very slow and painful death and no one can save you," she said and disappeared.

Titi woke up and saw that she was not on the floor but in her bed beside her sleeping husband.

"I am of the Light, I stand in the Light ...." was all she could say, until she fell asleep from exhaustion.

When Bankole woke up by 6 am, he touched his wife she had a fever. He was worried about her,  but first get hersome medicine and breakfast, he thought to himself. When he got to the kitchen and saw the back door was open. He wondered if they had forgotten to lock the door. He noticed that the guest room door was also ajar, his sister-in-law wasn't in there. She wasn't anywhere in the house and her bags were also gone. She had left the back door open.

Bankole took two slices of bread, a cup of tea, and some drugs for the fever to the room. After a few hours with no improvement, Bankole took his wife to the hospital. The doctor thought it might be an infection, but the blood test showed no sign of an infection. By the next morning, Titi felt better and insisted she be discharged. She went to see Iya as soon as she gained her strength. She told Iya all that happened. Iya said she sensed nothing wrong. Iya advised her to keep up with meditation and fasting when she can.

Titi's health gradually deteriorated. She hadn't told her husband about anything, now was the time to do so. She told him about their daughter's nightmare the first time her sister visited, her own nightmare and now she is always feeling sick. She left out telling him about Iya and all thatshe had been up to. Bankole sat quietly listening to his wife, he did not know what to think anymore. Was his wife saying the truth or was she paranoid and believes that what she is saying is the truth. He His willingness to relocate was largely because of the scandal about him, but not this again. Not that Bankole doesn't believe in the supernatural, he just finds it difficult to believe that a mother would want to hurt her own child. He was raised to support his wife and he would give her all the support she needs, right now he needs to ensure she gets better.

"I know it is hard to believe, but this has been my life and we need to protect our daughter," she pleaded with her husband.

"First things first my dear, we need to see another doctor to know what is really wrong with you then we can worry about our daughter. Our daughter will be fine, but I need my wife to be fine as well. Okay, please my dear," he replied.
