Chapter Three: Settling In
Wyn's P.O.V.
As soon as I walked out, the dogs started sniffing me again. I could tell they were curious about where I had been and who I was. Alesa was finally home, putting away groceries. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back. I could tell we would have a close bond of some sort.
"Hey!" She said. "How was it while I was gone?"
"Good." I answered, still smiling. "Is Adam back in his room?"
"Yeah, but you probably shouldn't disturb him. He's-"
Suddenly, Adam screamed from the back. Without hesitation, I ran back to his room. What if something bad had happened to him? Maybe he was just fine and I was just overreacting. But still...
I burst in through the door. "Adam, what's wrong?" I asked frantically. He was sitting in his desk chair. He didn't look hurt, though. That was a good sign.
"Oh, hold on guys." He said into his mic. He looked back at me. "I record Youtube videos with my friends for a living. So, if you hear me scream or something, don't worry about it."
I sighed in relief. "Okay. Sorry for disturbing you."
"It's fine. You didn't know."
I was slightly blushing as I walked out of the room. I had just gotten there, and I already messed up. Great. At least I cared enough to check, I guess.
When I got back, Alesa smiled. "It's nice to see you care about him."
I started blushing more, and smiled back. "T-Thanks. Well, you guys saved my life. So if I have to save yours, I will."
"You're such a sweet girl, Wyn. I'm glad I found you. You don't deserve to die."
Tears of joy were forming in my eyes. I was blushing like crazy. "Thank you."
"You're welcome!" She finished putting away the groceries. "The pizza will be here soon. For now, you can relax."
I nodded, then sat on the couch. Of course, their dogs followed. I laughed and began petting them. The bigger one reached up and licked my face. I laughed again. "What are their names?" I asked.
"Rascal's the big one. Milton and Bailey are the little ones." Alesa answered. The doorbell rang, and Alesa went to get it. I washed my hands in the kitchen sink before sitting down.
Adam came out of his room and sat down with us. The pizza was really the only meal I'd had in the past days. I ate about three before I decided to stop. Alesa put it away. Adam went back to his room to edit.
Time flew by quickly. Alesa led me to the guest room. I was relieved when I saw how nice and comfortable the bed was. It'd be easier to sleep on than wet concrete. After I got into bed with the same clothes on, she left.
I couldn't help but smile in my sleep. If only it could always be like this. But it wouldn't. I could tell.

Sorry if I offended anyone in the last chapter by saying you would die if I didn't update. I regret that decision now. I don't want any of you to die in any way. I know it made some people mad. And sorry for a short update. Writer's Block is a pain.
