chapter 7: yearning

sapphire left amethyst's house with a promise to be back the next morning to drop of the note and pie at the cafe together.

she had completely forgotten the real reason she was in portsville, to do her job.

anthony wilson was the name of the target. 42 years old. working with the black market. mainly trafficking young women to kill and have their body parts sold.

that's all sapphire knew.

she pulled out her phone to look at the man's schedule. he was seemingly a simple guy. went for a run twice a day. normally had lunch with his wife at azure's diner or some restaurant called remo's. worked from home aparantly. probably because he didn't even do the dirty work but instead gained the money from the comfort of his home office.

the thought made sapphire's anger rise. this disgusting man probably had young men doing all the dirty work for a few dollars and with the risk of getting caught while he kept his hands clean.

she parked across the street from where anthony lived with his family. it was a relatively big house. probably 5 or 6 bedrooms at most sapphire noted.

he was due to go out for his evening jog at 5:30pm so sapphire decided to wait to see him. it was already 5pm anyway.

thoughts of how beautiful her two future mates were made sapphire's heart skip beats.

she couldn't believe it herself. she really wanted them to be her mates. her heart felt uncharacteristically warm at the mere thought of amethyst and azure.

she was a very reserved person really and she had never looked at anyone once and wanted them. she wasn't the most social person. her sister always called her a stoic bloke just to get to her.

she was sure that these two women were meant for her.

anthony trudged out of his house right when the clock struck 5:29pm. punctual , sapphire noted as she watched anthony look at his phone for a minute. probably pulling up a playlist for his jog she thought.

she watched him until he turned the corner to the neighborhood park. she then started up her car to park in the park and watch his run while she mentally drew up a plan on how she would take him out. she parked her car and got to thinking.

as per usual benson wanted her to go to anthony's office to get all the incriminating evidence that anthony was in fact a bad guy so she had to figure out the times the entire family would be out so that she could get into anthony's office. after that she could get to killing him.

azure and thea were on their second bowl of popcorn while they watched happiest season. they bursted out laughing because of how funny it was and drank wine until they passed out on their second movie cheaper by the dozen.

azure woke up feeling immense pressure on her bladder at 2:49am. the telly was playing some random game show she didn't know and her head pounded because of how bright the tv was.

thea was sprawled out on the floor with her wine glass tipped over and wine spilt on azure's carpet. literally what the truck thea?! you are so getting me a new rug.

azure picked up the glass and took her glass and the popcorn bowl into the kitchen. she then made a beeline to to bathroom to do her business. when she got back out she grabbed some tylenol and two bottled waters for her and her best friend and put them in her bedroom.

next she had to figure out a way to get thea into the room. thea was not a light sleeper so she knew she wouldn't be able to wake her up and get her to walk to the bedroom. she settled on just dragging her to bed by her arms. she grunted and groaned as she tried to pull her best friend. ugh why is this girl so heavy.

thea groaned and her eyes fluttered open coming face to upside down face with azure. what is this tiny mouse trying to do? she thought as a giggled bubbled in her throat.

azure dropped thea and she hit the ground with a painful thud which made the dull throbbing in the back of her head intensify tenfold to a sharp pain.

" what the fuck azure?" thea screetched.

azure cringed at how loud thea bellowed but mostly at the curse word she uttered. azure tried not to curse. it just seemed so mean when people cursed so she couldn't do it.

"sowwy", she said guiltily and shrugged.

thea couldn't be mad at how adorable her bestie was so she just stood up and took azure's hand and they climbed into bed. azure handed thea her painkillers and water and they both took the pills and gulped down the water.

thea sighed and pulled azure into her arms after they had both switched off their side lamps and kissed her forehead. " i love you so much little sis", she whispered to the sleepy girl in her arms.

" i love you too tee", azure smiled.

the two girls drifted to sleep peacefully.

uhh heyy y'all. i know y'all probably think i'm the shittiest author and i totally am. i'm so sorry for this long ass wait for a chapter. literally took forever for me to update i'm so sorry but i hope you all enjoy this little chapter. please vote and comment. i'm so bad. i promise to really try to update regularly. i'll try to draw up a schedule to stick to. um so yea please don't give up on me guys :)

so that was a quick look into what sapphire's plan is about her little job and a filler on azure's life. this book will probably be 25 to 30 chapters long so i'll try to speed it up a bit more cause i feel like its slow rn. thanks for reading.
