sweat slid down the side of azure's face. it was a humid day and of course it was super busy in the cafe. she had all her girls helping today. leah, ingrid, savannah, thea and sia.
the fake beta watched from behind the counter as ingrid welcomed an elderly couple with a grin.

they were regulars and came in as often as every single day. she knew what they were having and was already plating their meal. two butter milk scones and four lemon buns. she liked to personally serve them so she left leah behind the counter to serve them.
the fake beta walked up to the couple and made her presence known to the couple that was in their own little love bubble by clearing her throat.
'oh hello there zure!', the omega named regina smiled at her.
'hi regina, hi paul. how are y'all today?', she said with a smile. they made her happy. watching how in love they are made her wish for that for herself. but it wasn't a priority to her as yet.
'hello girly. we're fine thank you and yourself?', the alpha, paul replied. azure kept her smile as she put the plates on the table along with their two glasses of lemon tea. 'i'm okay, thanks', she responded.
she gave them one final smile as they praised the meal and left them. she almost bumped into thea who held her nose in her hands with a napkin.
'uhh, sorry. are you okay thea? do you need some help?', she asked with a slight frown and panic.
'y-yeah. im okay just a little nose bleed', thea replied showing a little bit of the napkin to her boss and bestfriend.
the fake beta gasped in horror and panicked more slightly betraying her beta status. 'oh no! we need to go to the hospital!', she spoke alarmed.
'no. no. no. i'm okay i just need some ice. i think its because of the heat zure, i'm okay.' the actual beta stressed to calm the overreacting beta in front of her. what an omega thing to do she thought to herself.
azure grabbed an ice pack from the freezer and put it on her bestfriend's forehead as they tried to stop the bleeding. she only calmed down when she was told that the bleeding stopped and sighed in relief.
she realised then that she had sort of ruined her cover. she overreacted. it had only been a simple nosebleed. she excused herself to her office to fix her composure.
she then started filing some papers that were scattered on her table from earlier that morning a when she was disturbed by leah saying she was taking her break. if that was the case then azure had to go back out there to help out.
when she got to the front of the shop she realised that it had calmed down significantly and only an old man sat in the back booth looking very busy on his laptop. she told the rest of the girls to take their breaks and went to put away her file which wouldn't take her more than 2 minutes.
when she returned however, she was shocked to see two of the most beautiful female alphas sitting at one of her back booths.
