Chapter 40

Nervously in the morning Shehnaaz tiptoed inside her grandma's room crossing her parents room sneakily. She wasn't ready to face her father without her grandma backing up for her. She knocked on the door.

Shehnaaz - Dadi, mai hu Shehnaaz.

Grandma - Aaja puttar! ...... Ki hoya?

Shehnaaz - Dadiiii (She whined) Siyappa ho gaya yaar. (She jumped on the bed laying down on her lap)

Grandma - hun ke siyappa hoya?

Shehnaaz - Dadi kal Sidharth na mujhe ghar chorne aaya tha aur mujhe pata ny tha ke papa aane wale thi toh unhone humme dekh liya sath mei aur gussa ho gae.

Grandma - Tera baapu aisa bhi ny hae ke Sidharth sirf chorne aaya ho aur vo dekh Kar usse dekkat ho jaye. (Her brows furrowed) Chal cheti cheti sach bata menu.

Shehnaaz - Uh... Aa... Haan vo thora hug kar liye thi bas vo dekh liya. (she murmured, smiling nervously at her)

Grandma - Zor se bol puttar mai bhi toh sunu tum dono ke karname (She smiled suspiciously but then it changed into a frown) ...... Tum dono khotto ko ghar ke saamne he romance sujh raha tha Haan!? Hayeee tum dono ka mai Kya karu ab? (she hits her head with her palm)

Shehnaaz - Sorry na dadi ab jo hona tha ho gaya, aage kya karu vo batao.... Please agar papa kuch bole toh support kar dena. (Her phone rang while she was speaking, she hurriedly got up as it was Sidharth's call) Dadi abhi mai hospital ja rahi hu Sidharth aaya hae lene bye.... Please bacha lena Haan. 

With that she kissed her cheeks and rushed out of the house without letting anyone notice her. She was very relieved and peaceful to see Sidharth's smiling face. She wanted to hug him tightly right there forgetting all her worries but not repeating the same mistake again she silently sat down in the car and they drove off.

Shehnaaz was sitting silently for more than usual which made Sidharth worried. He can't see her sad and quiet like that.

Sidharth - Kya hua meri jaan? (He asked out of concern)

Shehnaaz - Bebu.... Mujhe kal jo hua uska soch kar darr lag raha ab. (She encircled her hands around his arms)

Sidharth - Sweetheart to Kyu tension le rahi hae bola tha na maine kal ke mai hu, I'll manage and we are in this together so don't worry. (He squeezed her hands in assurance)

She was still not convinced with him. She won't be until and unless her father accepts their relationship. He noticed her tensed face but didn't know how to cajole her as he himself was not sure about what he was going to do. He had said all that to calm her down but himself had a whole turmoil inside his head.

Shehnaaz tried to keep her mind off from all the things that would possibly be happening at her home and kept herself busy the whole day. While Sidharth was puzzled in himself too in his professional and personal life. He had got an offer for a music video but he was not in a state of mind to think about it so he asked his manager to ask the company for sometime to think about it.

He was pensive while waiting for her outside the hospital. She was exhausted herself but seeing Sidharth so lost in his thoughts with a tired look made her feel very bad and she felt guilty. All this time he had been trying to make her feel better and happy by putting a smile on his face but deep down he was worried too. She decided to shove away all the thoughts and be happy for the time being.

Shehnaaz - Bebuuu.... (She cooed pulling him out of his trance)

Sidharth - Haan meri jaan. (He said starting the car)

Shehnaaz - Chal na ice cream khane chalte hae phir beach par chale ge, thora relax karte hae hum. (She said excitedly)

Sidharth - You sure? (He asked, being surprised by the sudden change in her behaviour)
