The feeling that both of them were feeling was different and special. Today was the day were the two families will become one officially, the two lovers will become one officially and the two different worlds will become one. No doubt they were already together but this marriage was just a formality for them to make things official. Today after the marriage ceremony their fate was going to get connected with eachother and they were going to be stuck with each other for the rest of their lives no matter what. The mere thought of them being Mr. and Mrs. Shukla made them both feel butterflies in their stomach.

Her chooda ceremony started early in the morning, all her relatives gathered.( some ladies were singing punjabi folk songs)

Shehnaaz was sitting in the middle with a blindfold on her eyes..(The bridal Chura (set red bangles) is the first and most notable symbol of a newly married woman. The bride’s maternal uncle (mama) is the one who gifts these bangles to the bride. The Chura is dipped inside milk and the bride is not allowed to look at it while the maternal uncle puts it on her hands. After the Chura ceremony, the bride’s sisters and friends tie Kalire to the Chura and this symbolises prosperity and happiness.

When they were done with tieing kalire  , they covered the bangles with a white cloth ( as it is ritual to hide till the wedding ceremony starts)

Now that there is a ritual that all the young girls who is at age of getting married .. should sit  in a row and bride should shake her hands at each one of them such that her kalire's fall on the lap of any one lucky girl who is going to get married next. Turn out to be that lucky girl is none other than Pammi. She got really happy and excited.

Pammi - Sana di mujhe sharam aa rahi mera bachpan ka shadi karne ka Sapna pura ho jaye ga ab toh (She blurted out in excitement)

Shehnaaz - Pagal ladki!! (She chuckled)

Now shehnaaz went back to get ready. A woman lives the most beautiful day of her life when she gets married. That glow on her face and the fluttering heart was making everything surreal. This is that one day that she will always hold close to her heart. Her red attire, exquisite jewellery and the kaliras looked marvellous. She looked drop dead gorgeous in her embroidered lehenga and her soft makeup look. Dadi couldn't stop praising her granddaughter and also did some hand gestures cracking her knuckle at the side of her head to keep her safe from the evil eyes saying "Nazar na lage meri puttar nu" making Shehnaaz chuckle.

Sidharth too complemented her in an embroidered white sherwani. He was standing in front of the mirror adjusting his brooch, he looked at himself. Preeti came and stood beside him, her eyes were shinning bright with unspilled tears.

Preeti - Oh My God!! My brother looking like an absolute stunner, you're rocking the look bhai.......tujhe dekh kar Papa ke yaad aa gai.... Ek dum handsome lag raha hai tu unke jaise. (She smiled as a drop fell down her eyes)

He gave a side hug to her rubbing her shoulder. She left asking him to come down stairs soon as they had to leave for the venue. He too was terribly missing his dad today, his father was not there beside him on this important day of his life, though his mom gave him equal amount of  love. His chain of thoughts broke with a knock on the door, it was sana's dad

Sid - Papa ap! Aaye na.... Kuch kaam tha? Mai bas niche he aane wala tha.

Sana's dad - ji puttar ji yeh pagadi phenani thi apko...... yeh dulhe ke papa phenate hai isliye mai aaya hu apko pehnane.

Tears forming at the back of his head didn't went unnoticed by Sana's dad quickly pulled him into a warm hug.

Sana's dad - Chalo late hora raha hai.... Jaldi aa jao mai bandh deta hu. (He said wiping off his tears from the corner of his eyes)
