"Haz"  Tears welling in Louis' eyes, waiting to fall. He shook his head, as if the action would obliterate the scene in front of him. Specifically, Harry standing in front of him. With a gun in his hand, pointed at Louis' forehead. "Why? Why are you doing this?" Harry chuckles. But it isn't like his real chuckle. The laugh that would brighten the entire room, the laugh that makes his dimples pop, make his eyes glimmer with happiness. No. This was a dark laugh. With no humor, just a glint of sadness in his eyes. His eyes, once so full of life, now had an empty look in them. They looked hollow, made Harry look cold. Harry spoke, his words chilling Louis to the bone,

"Doing what Louis? Holding a gun to your head, threatening to shoot you-" He was interrupted before he could finish his sentence.

"No, you idiot. Why are you acting different, weird, cold, heartless, selfish. All the things I know you're not. What happened to the sweet, kind, genuine man I fell in love with?" Louis whispered the last part. Harry shook his head, his mask cracking for one solid second before his face grew cold again. His walls were up again.

He spoke, his voice, though low in volume, held enough power to make even the strongest man shiver with fear. "Probably not the best idea to call me stupid now Louis. Not when your future is in my hands. Quite literally. Now, to answer your many question, I was always like this Lou, always dark, mysterious, bad, heartless, selfish, manipulative. You knew that, getting into a relationship with me. What you didn't know however, was that night, you didn't coincidentally find me in that dark alley, bloody and bruised. I made it seem that way, I had however known exactly what time you were going to cross which place. I had been there waiting for you to find me, setting this whole plan in motion. I wasn't attacked by anyone. I made those injuries myself, so that you'd help me. So that you would pity me, and try to fix me. It was the perfect plan." Harry read the questions in Louis' eyes. "Didn't you ever wonder, why a person like me would fall in love with you? Why a man with no love would start loving a man with endless of the same? You didn't, did you? But then again, I'm really not that surprised, you always were this oblivious. When it came to loving someone, you go blind to all the imperfections of that person. And now you're going to pay for it." The click of the gun was heard, loud and clear.

"Why!?" Louis screamed. "Why did you do all this? What did you want of mine, what was so worthy that even my life is less in front of it?" His voice echoed in the empty room. Louis woke up sweating, still recovering from his nightmare. It was the same one he'd been having for months now. Harry always spoke the same words, the terror always ending with the click of the gun. That day has been seared in his mind. The day when the boy he loved told him that he was just a pawn in the game. That he never loved Louis. The day when Louis' heart broke. The day when Louis betrayed Harry. The day when the police arrested the criminal in front of Louis. Arrested Harry. 'For murder, treason and thieving' they said. They shot Harry on his leg that day. The same battered leg that had first made Louis stop and check in Harry that fateful night in the alleyway. That night changed Louis entire future. He found a boy. A boy he would come to love in the near future. The boy that would choose money over Louis. Power over Louis. The boy who would break Louis' heart. Betray him. Hurt him, physically and mentally. Almost kill him. They took Harry away from Louis that day. Physically at least. But Harry had not left Louis' mind since that day. Louis didn't doubt that he never would.
