The truth

Goblin slayer was questioning what had just happened

Priestess had just cast holy light on the creature severely burning it. When it collided with the rock the darkness looked like it had burned off leaving only a human with barely any traces of darkness on him.

"What do we do with him Orcbolg?" asked High Elf they were still recovering from his recent attack. "Maybe we should wake him up," said Priestess. She felt guilty for hurting this man or whatever he was.

Goblin slayer spoke up. "Whoever this thing is, he has proven a threat and a large one. his strength is great. I believe that we should question him when he wakes up then eliminate him if we need to."

The rest of the party agreed then waited for the man to wake up.

Jack opened his eyes seeing himself have traces of darkness on his arms. he groaned and looked up, and saw the entire party look back. "Who are you?" asked the lady with the bow. "My name is Jack." "What was the thing that attacked us?" asked the short man "Were you being controlled by it?" asked the Priestess "If so, maybe I could free you." 

As Jack listened to the questions, he saw on his body the darkness was slowly returning, Jack had been injured and was slowly healing.

"No, I never was being controlled i did all that myself." To the surprise of the party "Why?" asked the priestess "Well, that lady there shot me!" Jack said pointing with his finger. His hand had fully recovered and had transformed.

The man in the armour spoke up "We apologize for any harm we may have inflicted upon you." said The man in the armour. "But I have a question, did you kill all the goblins in that cave?" "If you mean those little green things, then yes." "I-I was unable to save the girls in there." Jack said finishing transforming. He then standed using the rock as support. 

"I can see that you are not evil, like those goblins, I'm a little lost at the moment so would you mind me joining you?" Shadow said extending his hand for a handshake. Goblin slayer returned the handshake welcoming him into the party.

As the party walked they exchanged information Shadow learned all of their names, solidifying his thoughts that they were not evil. As they walked Shadow noticed something on Priesstess's neck.

"What is that tag on your neck?" asked Shadow. "Oh, this." replied Priestess. "Its my adventureers tag. Thats where were going, back to the adventurers guild. You should join! With your powers I'm sure you'll be a great addition!" finished Priestess.

"I'm not sure they'll react positively to my looks." said Shadow. "But, perhaps I could join looking like this." Shadow shifted back into Jack surprising the rest of the party.

"I think you'll do great!" encouraged Priestess as we neared the town.
