When I began to write this chapter, I swear to the gods, I genuinely wrote 'After a long day of complete fuckery.' But I didn't keep it because you guys deserve quality, and that was not it.
I was also really debating whether to make Aunt May a horrible person, and decided that while it is a bit cliché and basic. , it helps with the Iron Dad storyline.
I will include a trigger warning because It may be triggering for some people, although it won't be really bad, just neglect, alcoholism and withholding of food. But that's for next chapter anyway, so i'll include it then.
After a long, albeit exciting day meeting the Avengers, Peter was released from the Stark Tower Med-Bay and sent home. To Aunt May.
She was not going to be pleased.
But Peter was in high spirits, so when the thought of seeing his Aunt again crossed his mind, he pushed it away without hesitation. He did, though, review all that happened in the last two days. It was all quite hectic to say the least, and the walk was far so as he strolled through the streets of New York, he mulled over the events.
1.He had a great day at school.
2.He went out on patrol, and stopped a burglary. (He gave himself a mental pat on the back for that one.
3.He got stabbed.
4.He texted a random number, but he was cool, so it was okay. (Great Social Safety there Peter, just great.)
5.He passed out. Oops.
6.Hawkeye found him?
7.He woke up in Stark Tower.
8.He met the Avengers.
9.He almost got hit by a bus. (Oh that was just then as he was thinking, by the way)
How did Hawkeye find him? Why did Hawkeye find him? He didn't text the Hero that was for certain, spies and important people had secure numbers. So did the person he texted, text Hawkeye?
Then, Peter's extremely high IQ finally made an appearance and he decided to ask the mysterious man himself.
Peter
Hey Mr Unknown Number..?
He waited for a bit by a take-out café, pondering whether he should get something. He got a spoodle's worth of tomato soup (I swear IceQueenXXI I really tried to use it in the right context, I really did.) And then, as he was wondering whether to get another one, he eventually got a response.
???
Peter! Are you okay?
Peter
I don't remember telling you my name, sir. How sneaky and suspicious of you 0-0
???
That's funny, you definitely told me.
Peter scrolled up through the chat history.
Peter
No. No I didn't. Unless I've deleted the message or something which I highly doubt because I was bleeding out the last time we spoke.
???
..fuck.
I was told it?
