I changed Peter's age in this to 16 by the way, I wanted him to be almost more mature in a way. Oh also, i know it's a bit late, but in case you were confused. Basically, all of the characters are from Ultron, so like, Wanda, Pietro (I'm not cruel) and vision are in it... except lets pretend Ultron never happened. Or Civil War. NONE OF THAT ANGST. It's all Avengers Family fluff around here, iF tHaTs OkAy WiTh YoU gUyS 0_0
Bruce's POV
I stared down the unconscious teenager through the glass window, separating him from the outside world. Even in sleep, Peter's face was contorted into a look of pure agony, brows furrowed tightly, a sheen of sweat glistening on his pale skin. It hurt to look at.
I turned to look at Clint; he was also looking through the glass, but whether it was at the kid or just into space, I was unsure. "Clint, do you know how it happened?"
He didn't move. "Clint?" Still nothing. I reached out and gently lay a hand on his shoulder. Finally, he jolted back to reality, back from wherever in the universe he was. Clint shook my hand off and cleared his throat.
"What's wrong? Has he woken up yet? Is he okay?" Panic gripped him as possible scenarios seemed to run through his head. I placed my hand back on his shoulder. He didn't shake it off this time, appearing to relax slightly under the touch.
"He's fine. He hasn't woken up yet." Clint visibly calmed down, "I was wondering how it happened." I added. He jerked his head up and frantically searched the corridor. After noticing no-one but me was with him, he sighed. He knows how it happened, so why did he lie to Nat? He seemed to be considering something very hard.
Clint's POV
I was considering something very hard.
Do I tell him about Peter being Spiderman? It wasn't really my right to tell him, but Bruce was the doctor around here, and could help. I knew for a fact that the Avengers would get sent out to find and defeat Spider-Man to try and bring him in for Fury, so it was a risk. But I also knew that to take him down, there would be lots of fighting, which could lead to injuries. Scratch that, it would definitely lead to injuries.
I decided that it was for the best to tell him.
"FRIDAY?" I asked, she responded instantly.
"Sir?"
"I need you to remove yourself from this area for 10 minutes. So you can't listen to this conversation." I asked, conscious that the AI was always listening.
Bruce's POV
"Sir, I cannot do that. I have been programmed t--"
"Override, security pin 33388777999." Clint interrupted. What the hell was going on.
"Override granted." FRIDAY's mono tonal voice rang through the empty halls. The silence that followed was unnerving. As soon as a little chime buzzed through the speakers, signifying FRIDAY has gone, Clint turned on me. He opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off first,
"What in Thor's name was that? How did you override FRIDAY?" I demanded. He grinned mischievously.
"How do you think Fury can talk about things without knowing? He got a S.H.I.E.L.D Agent to prepare an override pin. It's just the word Fury spelt on one of those old phones." I laughed, of course Fury had that. I watched as Clint beamed at me, proud of his little trick. His smile dropped though when he remembered the serious situation. He took a deep breath.
(A/N, I'm sorry lads, this chapter will probably have a lot of dialogue so I'm sorry for this. ~Nyah :)
"I don't know fully what happened," he started, I rolled my eyes. "Chill out Bruce, I'm getting there. In short, he's...Spider-Man..." I burst out laughing. Him? This small child...is Spider-Man? Yeah right..
