Rose was with Kenric. They were chasing each other. Fitz saw that Rose's hands were an ugly green.
Kenny raced past Fitz and Fitz grabbed Kenny's arm.
"Kenric what did you do to Rose?" Fitz asked sternly
"Nothing. She said she wanted a drink. I gave her one." Kenny shrugged slyly.
"Mom. Now I'm not pretty." Rose cried.
"It'll wear off soon. Sorry." Kenny apologized
Rose crossed her arms across her chest.
Charlotte was brushing Calla's hair and Lily was brushing Charlotte's hair.
(If I didn't mention, Lily and Kenric are twins. And because there were so many twins in the elvin world they weren't scorned anymore. Now it was normal.)
Lily made Charlotte's hair into two braids then connected them. Charlotte made Calla's hair into two cute braids.
"Nice job girls!" Fitz said
In the kitchen Biana and Dex had made a light dinner. Two plates of scrambled eggs and buttered toast.
"Is Sophie ok? Where is she?" Biana asked, sitting down next to her brother.
"I told her your theory about Marella, Biana. She freaked out. She's sleeping now." Fitz explained, putting his eggs on his toast.
"The kids already ate." Dex said
"Thanks, it's been a crazy day." Fitz said, combing his hand through his hair.
"Dad is mom ok?" Kenny asked
"She had an exhausting day. She's sleeping. And Sandor, Bo, Nubiti, Flori, and Tarina are protecting her." Fitz reassured his only son.
"Are you sure?" Lily asked, appearing behind Kenny.
Fitz nodded
"Well.... It's getting late. We should go home" Dex said, putting his arm around Biana's shoulders
"We should." Biana said
"Rose! Charlotte!" Biana called
"Yeah?" They called
"We're going home." Dex said
"Awwww." They said, saying bye to their cousins they checked their nexus's and leaped away.
Biana hugged her brother and she and Dex leaped away hand-in-hand.
"Lily can you shower Calla?" Fitz asked
"Sure!" She said, taking Calla's hand and heading towards the girl's shower.
"Go shower Kenny." Fitz said, and Kenny went to shower.
Somebody knocked on the door and Fitz went to open it.
"Hello. Is Sophie Elizabeth Vacker here?" He asked
"She's sleeping." Fitz said
"The council sent this." The messenger said, handing him a scroll.
"Thank you." Fitz thanked the messenger and her closed the door.
The scroll had the council's seal.
Fitz decided Sophie could read it tomorrow.
In 1 hour the kids were in bed and Fitz changed into his pj.
His pj. was sky-blue with bunnies and Sophie had stitched the words Mr. Snuggles onto the front.
Fitz walked into Kenny's room.
"Goodnight Kenny." Fitz said, covering his son and turning off the lights.
He left the room and went to Lily's room.
"Goodnight Lily." He said, covering his daughter and hugging her.
"Goodnight dad." She said
He turned off her lights and went to Calla's room.
"Goodnight honey." Fitz said, kissing her forhead then covering her and turning off her lights.
Fitz climbed into bed and Sophie turned towards him, still sleeping.
He brushed a stray hair behind her ear and she snuggled closer to him.
Her soft breath was so adorable and they way her face pinched in different ways when she was sleeping.
Fitz closed his eyes and drifted off.
