"Hi mom!" Fitz said, trying to lift the gloomy mood
"Fitz, Sophie! Happy you could make it!" Della said warmly
Sophie was surprised. What happened to scared Della?
"Come here Calla!" Della cooed
Call shook her tiny head and hid behind Sophie.
Della looked hurt. But, of course, Biana saved the day.
"He you guys!" She laughed at the situation
They all walked inside where everybody was already seated at the table.
Sophie slid into a seat, saying hi to her nieces and Dex. Calla immediately slid into the chair next to her and Fitz sat in the other one next to her. Lily was chatting with Rose and Kenny was playing something with Fitz.
Everything was so peaceful. But not for long.
Glass broke. Yells were shouted. The Neverseen were here.
Della fell back in horror and Biana screamed and ushered the kids towards the door.
Sophie balled up her emotions but before she could do anything Keefe had a knife at Della's throat.
"Keefe." Sophie warned
"Come on. Inflict on me." He taunted
Sophie pushed all of her emotions deep inside. Della's eyes were wide and scared while her skin was very pale.
"Leave Della alone." Sophie growled
"It seems I have the upper hand." Keefe smirked
Sophie smiled
"Not for long." Sophie smiled
Fitz crept behind Keefe and hit him in the back of his head. Keefe fell unconscious to the ground.
The Neverseen, seeing their leader was down, fled.
One stayed
Marella.
She crept up next to Keefe and held up her crystal to the light. But before she could drag Keefe in Sophie interrupted
"Marella wait!" Sophie cried
Marella stopped
Sophie put a hand on her former friends shoulder.
Marella seemed to think twice about leaving.
"No." She growled
Her shoulder glowed and burned Sophie's hand. Sophie yelped and darted her hand back. Marella gave Sophie one look, and dragged Keefe into the light.
Sophie started shaking and Fitz was there to catch her.
"Let's go home." He said
Sorry I haven't been updating. Crazy month.
