The next morning, Mark woke up and felt a weight on his arm. He looked over to his side and noticed that Min-ji moved in her sleep last night, from on top of him to laying on his arm beside him. Her back was facing him, so he slowly shifted to look over at her face. Min-ji's cheeks were slightly pink and puffy, along with her eyes. Her lips were a bit swollen and pouted. Mark silently giggled at his beautiful daughter. He looked at the time as it read, 10:22AM. Yesterday must have been a long day if both of them slept through the night.
Little did Mark know that Min-ji had woken up a little after one in the morning, 1:27AM to be exact (a/n: I had to seize the opportunity). She had rolled off of Mark and laid beside him, gazing at his face. The baby had traced the outline of his nose with her tiny fingers and soon fell back to sleep.
Mark carefully and successfully removed his arm from underneath his baby so that he can freshen up and make breakfast...more like warm up breakfast. He stood up quietly and put his golden, circular glasses on. He turned the nightlight off and tiptoed out of his room and slowly shut the door, leaving it cracked open.
Johnny was up, watching TV when realized his younger brother was awake. "Good morning," Johnny greeted. "Good morning," Mark replied, walking into the bathroom to freshen up. Once Mark finished, he walked over to Johnny and jumped on top of him. "Hey! Get off, you're heavy!" Johnny squirmed and pushed Mark off of him. Mark laughed and sat next to his older brother, resting his head on Johnny's shoulder.
Whenever Mark does this, Johnny immediately knows that something is on his mind. He knows his younger brother really well and can tell when something is up. "Speak to me." Johnny softly demanded while pausing the show he was watching. Mark shook his head, "I don't know how I'm supposed to take care of her on my work days. Haechan said he can watch her after his shift on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as Sundays. But I don't know what to do on Wednesdays through Fridays. I want to bring her with me, but I can't. Plus she's not ready to be put in a daycare."
"I see, why wouldn't she be equipped for a daycare?" Johnny inquired. Mark lifted his head from Johnny's shoulder, "I only had her for a day, but I can tell she doesn't do well with people. Even me. Sometimes when I go to touch her without announcing it, she flinches. She did the same to Haechan." Johnny nodded in agreement, "She did that to me when you were in your room yesterday."
"Johnny," Mark looked at his older brother with worry in his eyes, "do you think Karina hurt her?" Johnny's eyes widened, "I hope not and if she did, Min-ji is in your hands now. She's safe."
Mark sighed, "I know, but the thought of her doing that makes me sick. I'm so angry, but I don't want to lose my temper confronting Karina and end up scaring Min-ji."
"I understand, but you have to try and control it. What's done is done," Johnny said. "I know, I know, but if I ever cross paths with her, I'm giving her a piece of my mind. I don't think I'll be able to hold back," Mark responded. Johnny nodded his head, "I don't blame you."
Johnny has always been there for Mark and Mark has always been there for Johnny. They trust each other completely. "Also, on Wednesdays through Fridays I can help you out with Min-ji," Johnny told Mark. Mark's eyes lit up with surprise and relief, "Really?! Oh my gosh thank you so much!" Mark hugged Johnny as he giggled lightly.
Soon their hug was released and Mark asked, "Do you want to come with Haechan and I to buy some furniture for Min-ji?" Johnny smiled, "Sure thing! I'll let Ten know." Mark hummed in response and stood up from the couch, "I'll heat up some breakfast."
Mark walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer, pulling out the box of french toast sticks Haechan had bought. He laid the french toast sticks down on the plate and put them in the microwave. He did that for each of their plates. Once that was finished, he set the plates on the table, along with some syrup and juice. Mark and Johnny heard tiny footsteps making their way towards the living room.
Min-ji stood there with her stuffed penguin in her hand. Her hazelnut eyes were red and puffy. She had been crying and Mark quickly walked up to her, crouch down to her height. "Min-ji, what's wrong?" Mark asked his baby. The toddler just stared at him, blinking her tears away. Min-ji turned around and pointed at the bathroom with her eyes looking down. "Okay, come on Min-ji. Let's go potty and then we can eat," Mark understood what his baby was implying.

Haechan arrived around two in the afternoon, a few hours earlier since his cousin had to leave early. All three boys, along with Min-ji, stepped out of the car, walking into the mall. Johnny came with his own car so they would have more room to put the furniture in. Min-ji was in Mark's hold as they looked through the furniture store. She was wearing a white dress with sunflowers on it with white shoes...You can guess who chose her outfit.
They soon finished buying Min-ji furniture and shoved them into their cars. Mark had bought her a white twin sized bed and other pieces of furniture Min-ji will need. They drove back to Mark's apartment to build and put together the peices of furniture.
Haechan carried Min-ji, while Johnny and Mark carried the boxes of furniture into Min-ji's room. It was a quarter past seven and Haechan offered to make dinner, as he put Min-ji on the couch. "You don't have to. I can order take out," Mark tried to convince the younger, but it didn't work. "Nope, I already know what I'm going to make. You spent a lot of money yesterday and today," Haechan reminded. "It doesn't matter, let me order something," Mark exclaimed. Haechan turned on the TV and put Mickey Mouse on for the baby, "No, Mark. Now go help your brother." Mark did as the younger told him with a pout and left him to be in the kitchen. "Nena, I'll be in your room putting your stuff together with your uncle, okay?" The baby gave a small nod and fixed her eyes back on the TV.

After dinner, Haechan washed the dishes. Min-ji didn't eat that much, but it was still something and Mark was proud of her. Johnny and Mark had already finished building Min-ji's bed and dresser and they were now onto the last pieces of furniture. "Why don't we take a break for a bit. I have to give Min-ji a bath anyway," Mark suggested and the boys nodded. Mark grabbed Min-ji's pajamas and set them on the bathroom sink. He walked up to Min-ji, who was sitting on the floor in front of the couch, playing with her stuffed penguin. "Let's take a bath Min-ji," Mark told his baby girl. Min-ji stood up with her stuffed penguin in her hands and walked with Mark to the bathroom.
After Mark bathed her, he dried her up and applied lotion on her skin. He helped her with her pullups and pajamas. "I forgot to brush your hair last night," Mark giggled as he dried her hair with her lion towel once more. Her wavy, brown hair wasn't long, but it wasn't too short either. It reached just above her chin. Mark grabbed her hair brush and gently began combing through her hair, unraveling any knots that were tangled.
After that, Mark opened the door and his baby waddled out with her stuffed penguin. She turned around, raising her arms at Mark. Mark hoisted her up from the ground and walked over to the TV, turning it off. All three boys walked inside Min-ji's room. Mark put her down on her new bed, "We're going to finish building your things. Stay here so you won't get hurt." Mark unlocked his phone and clicked on YouTube to play some music, setting it down on top of Min-ji's bed.
