Min-ji sat in front of the door, waiting for Mark to return. "Min-ji, your daddy will be back later," Haechan spoke to the baby, who had her back facing him. "How about we play for a little? How does that sound?" Haechan asked in a cheerful manner. Min-ji wanted to play, but she wanted her daddy to return home more. Haechan sighed.

"I'll tell you what, we can call your daddy in a little while if-" Haechan was interrupted mid proposal by Min-ji turning around and grabbing his pointer finger, leading him to the couch. She sat on the floor and opened her coloring book. She handed the pack of crayons for Haechan to open and he did so. Min-ji pulled out a green crayon, along with a yellow crayon. She pat the wooden flooring next to her, signaling for Haechan to sit beside her.

He slowly sat down and Min-ji handed him the yellow crayon. She pointed at the coloring book and began coloring with Haechan soon following after. He smiled at the baby and praised her, "Wow, you're coloring very nicely, Min-ji."

"Hey, I'm on a ten minute break," Mark said through the facetime call with Haechan. "That's great, Min-ji has been waiting to see you," Haechan answered and moved his phone down to Min-ji's face, "Look Min-ji, it's your daddy." Min-ji looked down shyly as Mark cooed at her, "Hi Nena! What have you guys been up to?" Min-ji picked up her coloring book and faced it towards Haechan's phone. "We've been coloring," Haechan spoke up. "Oh wow, that's beautiful! You did well," Mark praised his daughter through the phone as Min-ji put the book down. "Hey, what a about me?" Haechan pouted as he whined. "Oh, shut up Channie," Mark playfully rolled his eyes. Haechan puffed his cheeks, "You're mean." Mark giggled, "You did well too."

Haechan laughed as Min-ji stood up and grabbed her instrument book. She sat back down, flipping through the cardboard pages. Haechan flipped his camera and faced it towards the baby. Mark watched as his baby concentrated on the book in front of her. Min-ji felt more at peace, listening to her father's voice.

Haechan gave Min-ji a bath after dinner and helped her dress up in her pajamas. "Let's clean up," Haechan suggested and the baby girl picked up two of her books while Haechan had the rest of her things. Haechan switched on the light in her room and put her stuff away. He helped Min-ji slide her books on her bookshelf. "Thank you. Good job, Min-ji," Haechan smiled at her.

It was close to nine and Mark was on his way home. "It's time to sleep now, okay? I'll tuck you in," Haechan told her as she climbed on her bed, both her stuffed lion and penguin beside her. Haechan pulled the covers over her and gently said, "Goodnight, Min-ji. Daddy will be home shortly so don't worry and get some rest." Haechan turned her nightlight on and switched her light off, walking out and leaving the door cracked open.

Haechan cleaned the dishes both he and Min-ji ate from. Once he finished that, he sat on the couch and scrolled through the pictures on his phone. He came across a picture of Mark and Min-ji, which he discreetly took. The younger smiled and the photo and cooed at their interaction. Soon, the door opened and Haechan slid his phone into his pocket. Haechan stood up, "Hi, Markie!"

Mark closed the door and took his shoes off, "Hi, Hyuckie. Did everything go okay?" Haechan nodded, "Everything went fine. She was a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out okay and we were playing for a bit."

"Good, I'm glad she's okay," Mark sighed in relief and smiled at the younger. He opened his arms and the younger charged himself against the older's chest. Mark giggled and ruffled his hair. They broke free and Mark spoke, "Is she sleeping?"

"I put her to bed twenty minutes ago. She might be," Haechan honestly said. "Thank you," Mark responded. "Goodness, stop thanking me already. You know I'd do anything for you," Haechan smiled as a blush crept on his cheeks. "You're seriously the bestest friend I could ever ask for," Mark said and started walking towards Min-ji's room, unfortunately failing to see the younger's saddened expression when he said that. "Yeah....best friend," Haechan mumbled quietly, but quickly regained himself with smile as he trailed behind the older.

Mark opened Min-ji's door just enough to peak his head inside. Her back was facing the door. Mark closed the door again, leaving it cracked, and walked back into the living room with the younger. Haechan slipped on his sneakers. "I'll see you tomorrow. Get some rest, you look tired," Haechan demanded in a playful way, but Mark could tell his whole mood changed. "Are you okay?" He asked, concerned for the younger. Haechan just smiled, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Mark asked. "Yes, I'm okay...just a little tired, that's all," Haechan said and Mark nodded. "Alright, go home and sleep. You have morning classes tomorrow. I don't want you to have no energy," Mark told him and Haechan hummed. "Text me when you get home, okay?" Mark ruffled Haechan's hair. "I will," the younger smiled tiredly and walked out. Mark locked the door behind him and went to take a shower.

He finished his night routine and turned on the light in his room, leaving his door open. He sat on his bed and checked for any messages and emails on his phone. There was one he recieved a few minutes ago from his best friend.

Haechan
I'm home, dummy

Mark smiled at the younger's text.

Mark
Glad to hear that, please get some rest :)

Haechan
Yeah, yeah..you too

Mark
Goodnight Hyuckie, thank you again

Haechan
You're welcome, now stop thanking me XD Goodnight Markie ♡

Mark's heart did flips as he texted Haechan..nothing new. He calmed his heart rate down and plugged his phone in to charge. He turned off his lights and threw himself on his bed, soon drifting to sleep.
