*10 months later: spring*

"they know I am not a fucking cook, why the hell they made me cook the most difficult shit ever." yoongi complained, holding his container closer to his chest. it just rain recently and although the sun is out, the concrete was still wet.

"macaroni and cheese is not a difficult dish babe." jimin told him, holding a pot of kimchi stew.

"why did they want this anyway? we aren't american."

"we don't have to be american to have american dishes yoongi."

yoongi huffed, switching the container to his left arm to knock on the door. not even a minute later and the door to the married couple was swung open by the man who is hosting the whole occasion.

"my second favorite couple! so glad you two can come." jin greeted with a smile, scooting out the way so the said couple could come in.

"thanks for inviting us." jimin replicated the smile. yoongi not saying anything but a slight huffed, still salty about making the dish.

"how did yoongi do with the mac and cheese?" jin whispered to the younger, eyeing yoongi as he slumped to the kitchen without even saying hello to the others.

"he stood up all night trying to make it. two tries but I think he made it work." jimin explained, eyes twinkling once he saw his boyfriend pop out of the kitchen.

"im proud of him. I honestly thought he was going to turn it down."

"me too."

"yo, can we eat now?" jungkook yelled from the living room, earning a slap in the back of the head from hoseok.

"be patient, wait until jin says its time."

"yeah kookie, wait till its time." taehyung teased, sticking his tongue out.

"you are only buttering him up so he could fu-"

"FOOD! RIGHT, YEAH IS FOOD READY?" taehyung interrupted them with a booming voice, standing up from the couch to the table.

"namjoonie should be coming out soon." jin said, setting up the table with various meats and food platters. yoongi's mouth was just watering at the sight since he was the first one sitting down.

"at least help you grizzly bear." jimin joked, setting down plates.

"I am helping. once the food is on the table, I can help get rid of the food. by eating it."

jimin rolled his eyes and made his way back to the kitchen, hoseok chuckling behind him. taehyung plopped himself diagonally from yoongi and glanced at him, yoongi sided eye him and looked away but after a couple more seconds, taehyung was still staring.

"can I help you?"

"nope. just a thinkin."

"would have thought you needed help with your staring problem."

taehyung glared at him. "and I thought jungkook was mean."

yoongi narrowed his eyes at him. "don't you dare compare me to that little devil. I don't think he has ever complimented anyone ever."

"its rare... have you complimented someone recently?"

"yeah, my boyfriend."

jungkook sat down beside taehyung and crossed his arms. "why are you guys fighting over me? I already have two guys all over me, I don't need a third."

"who told you I wanted you? I have someone already." yoongi huffed, crossing his arms as well.

"you look pretty today taehyung." jungkook mumbled without making eye contact, making taehyung cheese hard as hell.

"ha! you just witness him compliment me! soak it up." taehyung boasted, his boxy grin in full display.

yoongi pretended to not listen and whip his head back and forth. "im sorry, what did I miss?"

taehyung face palmed.

"how's the move in hoseok?" jin started once they started eating. the whole dining room area smelling like cooked beef and gochujang.

"it was actually pretty fun! since I have two more additions to my family, we had to get a bigger place and luckily it was an open house right next to the house we have now. all we did is transfer our stuff and violia! " hoseok explained, smiling the entire time he talked.

"we aren't dogs you know." jungkook fired at him, sipping on his water.

"but you follow my every command right?" hoseok retaliated, smirking a bit. jungkook spat out his water all over his food.

"wait, pardon?" namjoon said confusingly, looking between jungkook and his friend.

"wait a damn minute, I thought hoseok was a- HAS THE ROLES SWITCHED?" yoongi boomed at the end, sitting up on his chair to look at his best friend beside him. hoseok just wiggled his eyebrows.

"I re-fucking-fuse to talk about that. privacy is a thing okay?" jungkook said, coughing a bit and wiping his mouth with the tissue taehyung gave him.

"anyway, I have big news! namjoon and I are... thinking about raising a kid!" jin announced, face turning a hue of pink as his lips formed a huge grin.

the table exploded into cheers and yells, 2 of them getting up from their seats to hug the future parents. yoongi couldn't believe it but he knew it was going to happen sooner or later. his producer friend is finally settling down.

"oh my goodness, this was amazing news! have you guys thought of the genders yet?" jimin asked.

"what about names?" taehyung questioned.

"hold up now, we said we are thinking about having a child, we didn't go in depth yet." namjoon raised his hands to calm his excited dongsangs.

"of course it would be you to settle down first out of the three of us." yoongi jumped in, one of the corners of his lips raising a little.

"yeah, us three hasn't even thought about marriage yet." hoseok added, looking over his two boyfriends.

"yet?! is this a secret proposal hoseokie?" taehyung teased, giving him a dorky grin.

"shut up, i'm just talking."

"marrying you guys wouldn't be so bad." jungkook grumbled but it was loud enough for everyone to hear.

"guys! remember this moment, jungkook just said something nice." jimin joked, some laughter erupted from the table afterwards.

"shut the fuck up."

yoongi was in his own little world, thinking about everything that happened over everyone in a course of a year and then some. one of his best friend's expanding his family, his other best friend having his dream accomplished and then himself managing an actual sturdy relationship.

then, a sudden wave washed over him. ease, content. his life wasn't stressful like it use to be, it wasn't lonely, nor was it repetitive.

because dating jimin, every day was something new. dating jimin, made him soft instead cold-hearted.

and he has a certain challenge to thank.
