Chapter 6

6 hours into the chariot ride and it was quiet

Yuri was on the left, Aran was in the middle, and Isla was on the right.

Isla was awake thinking about the battle that had happened two hours earlier.
She probably couldn't sense us but there is no way she didn't hear that explosion she thought

"I know you probably don't believe me but I genuinely didn't hear the explosion... Its probably a good time to mention that I am deaf in my left ear" Yuri said as she leaned forward to look at Isla past Aran's sleeping body.

"That's bullshit" Isla responded "and if you are partially deaf that should've been disclosed."

"You're right but I thought it wasn't important to disclose. I don't think you plan on me living long anyways"

"How did you know tha-" Yuri cut her off

"I feel like you don't like me 'Isla'. Why is that?" Yuri looked at Isla with a curious look.

"Don't say my name like that"

"Like what?"

Isla sighed "Youre a mystery. Its always more questions than answers when it comes to you"

"Whats wrong with a little mystery? " Yuri asked with a slight smirk

Isla turned a looked at her "I hate mysteries" she said bluntly

Yuri chuckled but stopped abruptly

Isla looked at her. Yuri was looking forward and her smirk and flirty demeanor was gone. She turned to Isla and said.
"You feel that?"
"Feel what?" Isla asked annoyed

Yuri paused

"Aran wake up, WAKE UP NOW!" she started to shake Aran vigorously

"What are you doing?!" Asked Isla

The chariot stopped.

Emergency Stop has been initiated. Enemies Nearby

"Shit" Aran exclaimed as he put his cloak on.

The trio jumped out of the Chariot and saw no one around. But it didn't feel like that. Yuri spoke "Its 4 east, 2 south and 1 west. Be careful and don't exhaust your stamina"

Aran nodded his head trying to wake himself up

"How do you know that?" Isla asked as she faced east ready to attack.

"Not the time but I have very sensitive senses" Yuri responded

"Then how didn't you sense me and Aran?" Isla thought
"Well get in the trees and ill call you out it you need to heal someone" Isla whispered only to turn and see Yuri already gone.

Isla tapped Aran's arm indicating its time to fight. Aran pulled his wand out and started shooting plasma orbs at the 2 figures to the south while Isla tried shooting electric blast to hit the 4 figures to the east. She didn't have any issues fighting two rebels but four was kinda over doing it.

"AHHH"
Isla heard Aran yell and she turned to her side to see him holding his arm. It was slightly burned but still attached.

"ARAN" Isla yelled letting her guard down causing for one of the rebels to shoot a toxic blast to her side making her fall to her knees instantly.

"Aran go back to the chariot and get backup and paramedics" Isla commanded

"But i can't just leave you "

"Its either both of us die or one of us die and I can't make it to the chariot"

"But Isla-"

"ARAN JUST FUCKING GO...please"

Aran ran to the chariot and left back in the direction of the school

Okay Isla compose yourself. Its going to take at least 12 hours for help to get here. Youre going to die here but you can still fight till the end. She thought of that last part again.
"Till the end"
Isla kept fighting but she was outnumbered and injured. As the rebels came closer she kept losing blood. She fell to the ground gasping for air. She was going in and out of consciousness.

"This is it. Just like that and I'm gone. Ill miss you Aran." She shed a tear "ill see you soon Jace"
Before she passed out she saw a figure appear in front of her. They were levitating. They must've been controlling the wind around them because it felt like they were in the middle of a tornado. She watched the figure lift up their hand and throw it to the right, causing for all of the rebels to be cut in half instantly. Then she passed out.
