Yuri and Isla were both sitting in their shelter. Yuri was on the left laying on her back tossing a rock in the air and catching it over and over while Isla was on the right just looking out the entrance.
Isla's mind had been rushing since she woke up. Who was that figure who saved me? How did Yuri get me to Saftey without running into that figure? Isla was irritating herself. She hated not knowing excatly whats happening around her.
"Yuri, are you a Daystar?" She asked bluntly and slightly rude
Yuri caught the rock and sat up "What's that?"
"You don't know what a Daystar is? They're literally legends at school. I went my whole life hearing about them" Isla told her
"I never heard of them. Who are they?"
Isla explained "Theyre magic Wielders at the school who can control magic way better than the best of our class. Some can use their magic without a wand or a stone, its because they're born with their powers. Some can even control multiple powers and use them together when they need to. It's amazing what they can do. Of course we never see them. They train alone and secluded. Sometimes it makes me wonder if they even exist"
"That's interesting. They seem godly" Yuri chuckled as she layed back and continued tossing her rock in the air.
"You know if you miss that rock one time its over for your face" Isla commented
"Yea but I won't. My reflexes never let me down" Yuri responded confidently
"Oh really?" Isla asked as she lifted her wand and zapped Yuri's hand causing for her to yell as the Rock collied with her forehead.
"Ow what the hell Isla!" She yelled as she sat up. She had a mark on her hand the size of a quarter
"I thought your reflexes never failed you?" Isla asked mockingly
"Fuck you" Yuri spat as she rubbed her hand
Isla laughed "just heal yourself already. You're letting the pain linger. Are you a masochist?" She asked sarcastically
.....
Aran arrived with the chariot, back up and paramedics. They took Yuri and Isla and started to examine them before the ride back to the school
"I'm so glad you're okay" Aran said as he Hugged Isla. Isla didn't like being touched but she grew up with Aran so he was the exception. She hugged him back "me too dummy" Aran let go of Isla and walked to Yuri.
"Thanks for getting her away from the rebels, you saved her life and I couldn't thank you more" he went in for a hug but stopped. "Do you like hugs? "He asked
Yuri gave him a side hug and a fist bump
"Sorta" they laughed and got in the chariot.
