Chapter 16 - A Curse Of My Own

When we all arrived in the Demon Realm, it was quiet. There was much tension among us as the sins were not happy with the secrets that I had been withholding. Though that was nothing new; secrets are secrets and some are just meant to be kept. 

The cobblestone path lead straight to the castle before us. It marveled in beauty as its towers reached the purple fog and light shined within it. It seems the Commandments made this place their home. They never left. The gate to the castle opened upon us walking near it, meaning that they knew of our arrival and were welcoming it. At least they were welcoming mine. 

"Liz!" I hear foot steps running out the castle doors as we approached further and further in. It was Zeldris and Gloxinia. But when they got close, their faces changed, "What are they doing here?"

"They are here to ask for your aid." Meliodas stepped in.

Zeldris laughed, "Now that's a funny joke, brother."

"Lizzy, tell us the truth." Gloxinia said.

"It is the truth," I rebuttled, "I have declared war on God once again. 

Zeldris smirked, "What? Was the old man mad that you rubbed killing his whore of a daughter in his face again?" 

"Don't talk about her that way!" Meliodas yelled.

Everyone's eyes turned towards him in shock.

"Meliodas?" I said in anger. 

"Th-that's not what I meant!" Meliodas backed away in shame.

Ban approached him, "Look's like Liz isn't the only one keeping secrets."

"She's not the only one and I happen to know this secret," say's Zeldris, "You see, the curse broke a very, very long time ago. More than Meliodas said. And for years, through our incarceration through our curse, the rest of the Commandments watched Meliodas love another woman over and over again. But this time by choice." 

My head whipped towards Meliodas who looked down. His eyes covered by hair, "Is what Zeldris saying true?" He didn't answer. I kicked him to the ground, "Is what he saying true?!" Tears poured out of my eyes. I knew the answer. 

And that was my breaking point. A blinding light flashed from within me no one had ever seen before, except a few. 

"We have to get out of here!" Yelled Zeldris pointed at the destroyed me, "This happened before years ago when she found her with Meliodas! Her soul has been overtaken by her power! We have to get out of here, she'll kill all of us!"

The rest of the commandments came out and started escorting everyone through the portal. As everyone went through, it closed. My mind was gone, somewhere else, dead, gone forever, who knew. But I wasn't me anymore, I was who I used to be; a blood thirsty monster who is ready to kill any of those who appose me or stand in my way. If only I had known Meliodas would yet again be the reason for my destruction. 

It was like our love was never meant to be. 

Like he was actually supposed to be with Elizabeth despite the curse. Maybe the curse was a warning to not do it again. To not put myself through the suffering again. 

But that doesn't matter anymore. My mind only feels like death, it wants to kill, it wants revenge, it wants power and it was going to get it. I took the sword from my hip and planted it into the ground, falling back into the human world. As my power grew, it became easier for me to travel through worlds. 

The Boor Hat looked so small to my eyes, but it was my power telling me how easy it would be to destroy. The things I could do. I could destroy all of Brittania if I wanted too. It would be so easy. 

I slammed the door of the Boar Hat and looked around at the scared faces. My horns, tail, and wings were out. My fangs a piercing white that showed as I smirked, "Now I see we've encountered a certain problem and that problem needs to get fixed." 

"Liz, you need to stop this." Meliodas stood up to me.

I growled, "Don't you realized YOU made me this way! You destroyed me last time and you did it again this time! So now, I will finally complete what I meant to years ago! I will fucking kill you, you goddamn bastard!"

"NOW!" Zeldris yelled and my whole body stopped. A familiar feeling wrapped around me and light consumed my body as I screamed in pain. 

"NO! NO! NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS AGAIN! PLEASE! DON'T SEND ME BACK THERE!" I screamed as my body hunched over and blood splattered all over the floor.

"Lizzy, I am sorry." Meliodas hunched down to my level. 

I glared at him with sadness in my eyes, "NO YOU AREN'T! THIS IS WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED SINCE I CAME BACK! YOU WANTED HER! IT WAS ALWAYS HER! IT WAS, WASN'T IT?!" Gold started to envelope me as my body started fading away, "ANSWER ME GODDAMNIT!" 

His head nodded, "Yes. I think it was." Meliodas looked away but back again, "But I love you now. It's you now that I want!

"But it's too late for that now isn't it!" I sneered, "If we ever meet again, Meliodas, Dragon Sin of Wrath, you're dead! DEAD!" Tears streamed down my face as I knew what was to come, I could feel everyones sorrow around me, "You place this curse on me again like your stupid father and for that you'll never be forgiven!" 

"You won't be coming back." Poking around the corner was Estarossa, "I edited the curse and changed the words. You actually will be stuck there forever until the rest of humanity dies, then you'll come back all alone!" He laughed. 

"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled.

"So naive you all are!" Estarossa smirked. 

"YOU BITCH!" My body almost completely faded, "Fuck you! Fuck every singe one of you!" I turned to Elizabeth who had a smirk on her face. 

She knew. She fucking knew. 

"I have a curse of my own," She said and all eyes pointed to her, "Goodbye." Everyone screamed as I faded away, forever.

My head hurt as my eyes fluttered open, "Fuck, my head." I got up from my bed roll and got some water from the bucket I brought back from the village yesterday. 

I leaned my arms on the window of my tree house and looked out to the tree's, listening to the birds chirp and watching the sun rise.

"Too bad I'm still in the Vale. What an odd dream."
