I don't really understand what goes on around me anymore. Too many years have passed for me to care anymore. 3000 years in this world and after 2000 years of torture, I finally let myself become free, not really. The Demon King is the reason for where I am today and the Goddess Elizabeth is to blame.

I live in a world between worlds. You could say I live in a place called The Vale, which is what my world is known by from the Humans. We are neither alive nor dead, but simply beings that cannot be seen by the living, and not haunted by the dead.

I live in the realm of forbidden beings, the planet of magic, the world of unknown. A place where things happen that no Human could ever fathom, that Science could not explain. Magic is our soul being, it gives us life. But that life isn't being alive, it is just simply the concept of immortality, which is always misunderstood as eternal life, when that is not the case. It is more complex than the simplicity Humans gave to such a unique gift from the Gods. Yet my species was a curse from Satan.

The blue, long grass blew in the wind while the pastel waters glistened in the moonlight. Such an array of colors is a sight that should never be missed, but to some taken for granted. I was in my home, a small house made from the wood of an oak tree, but stands high towards the sky in a Mother Tree, a tree so precious to our kind. The ladder hung down, awaiting my bare feet to touch its steps.

Inside the tree hut, there was a small fire pit with metal poles holding a small, black cauldron hanging from them, just enough above the fire so the liquid inside was slightly bubbling. Around, was a small table made from the stump of a tree and two chairs on either side of it. A small, bag bed was woven from grass and was rolled up on the other side of the room, along with a small dresser with a cup made from leaves, holding water inside, on top of it.

I was out on my balcony, watering my small vegetable garden from the water I had collected from last weeks visit to the market. I had a small planter box. Inside were carrots, onions, garlic, beets, tomatoes, and cucumber, my most favorite vegetables. I went back inside to check on the stew I was cooking. I took a wooden ladle and stirred the bubbling liquid. I scooped some up and tried it. It was almost perfect, but needed some pepper. I found a jar of pepper kernels and ground some up in my mortar and pastel. I sprinkled it into the stew and stirred it up. I was cooking lamb chop stew, a personal favorite of mine. It consumed of lamb I had been preserving from the market last week, carrots, onion, and homemade vegetable broth. I used the ladle and poured some into a leaf bowl and used a wooden spoon, small enough for proper eating use, and I ate my soup.

As I ate, I thought about what I am going to need soon. I am running out of supplies and only have about a day left till I need to go to the market again, and that is a days journey, so I need to leave tomorrow morning. I went to my water bucket to clean myself, only to see no more water left. As I was left annoyed and frustrated, I packed a small bag filled with a canteen of stew, a small canteen of my drinking water, a rope, and a carving knife. Once I finished, I closed it up and rapped a rolled cloth on top of it, just in case I needed to camp somewhere, the weather can be unpredictable. After I was completely done packing, I stripped my clothing and fell into a deep slumber.

I woke up to the sun beaming through my window. I rolled up my grass bed, and brushed my short, blonde hair that reached about to my chin. I put half of it up so it wouldn't get in my face, but not all the way because it was too short to fully put up. I grabbed my folded clothing off the dresser and put them on. I wore a simple shirt made from larger leaves of a Mother Tree, woven into a fitted style for my body, and some leather pants from the market. I clasped a small pouch of golden coins to the belt attached to my pants and then grabbed my pack for the travel ahead of me.

I reached the end of my home, and started to climb down the long ladder which hangs alongside the tree. My bare feet, clasping around each step to make sure I don't slip. Once I reach the end, I dash off into the forest, the wind whipping my face, my hair blowing behind me to where you can slightly see the long, pointy tips of my ears. My crystal blue eyes, gleaming with joy as the adrenaline rushes through by little body. I can sprint for hours at inhuman speeds, which is makes my travel to the market short. I live so far away, that it is nice to have the ability to travel fast.

A few hours later, I reach the edge of the village, slowing down to a walk as I venture through the great streets. I fill up buckets I bought with water at the well and closed their lids, attaching them to the pack on my back. I buy some apples, oranges, and some herbs for potions and making my meals taste better.

By the end of the day, I returned to my little home. As soon as I stepped by my door, I noticed a letter with an arrow sealing it onto the entrance of my home.

To think after all this time, you would be hiding here, cursed here by the Demon King himself. We told you 1000 years ago before you went missing that we would find you, and kill you for what you did. Today marks 1000 years since the curse was set upon you, so you best start running.

Maybe today's the day it is finally lifted.

I scoff, to they really fell through with their promise. They are the Ten Commandments after all, I should have expected this.

I immediately drop everything but my sword. I sheath it on my back and start running.

I need to make a portal back to Britannia, but that all depends on if the curse even was lifted. For all I know, they could be fucking with me.

My head immediately shoots behind me as I see him running towards me. So they are pulling the big guns out so soon?

I pivot my foot, creating a dust cloud and run in a zig zag pattern. Zeldris was the only one who could keep up with my speed, but never this way. I would always outrun him and he hated it. But now is not the time to reminisce on the past, it's portal time baby. I start to chant a simple transport spell that will open a portal to Britannia just enough for me to get through. "Aperi ad portam terra Britannia."

My eyes widen in pure shock as a portal opens before me. I am finally free.... kind of.

I jump through the portal without hesitation and it immediately closes behind me, Zeldris and the other Commandments stuck in the Vale.

I gracefully land on the soft, green, grassy hills and stare at the land before me.

Finally after 1000 years, I'm back.
