My decision

Though time was already God knows what, I still found it hard to fall asleep. I couldn't stop thinking someone could be watching our house, maybe closer to the windows or even trying outdoors.

I also knew that if anyone tried to open the door with force, it would trigger the alarm system. But having big, huge windows didn't make it better at all. Luckily, the kids' rooms had small windows.

I was tossing and turning, just waiting for the morning to come. I wanted it to be bright and shiny to see everything outside. How could I feel this scared? I have a house full of people who can deal with this.

I was also thinking about that spy. All this time, one of us has never been on our side. It'd explain quite a lot from the past, but I couldn't think of any. I hope it is not Minji.

''Baby,'' Jungkook mumbled as I had to stop tossing around and stay on my side so he could sneak his arm around my torso. ''Why aren't you sleeping? It's not morning yet.''

''How can you just sleep like a peaceful baby despite there being hundreds of men outside waiting for us to go out and snatch us?'' I asked.

''You know I cannot do anything. This was the best option,'' Jungkook mumbled back.

I sighed and got myself to sit up.

''Where are you going?'' Jungkook asked, rubbing his eyes, now suddenly fully aware of everything.

''I'm thirsty,'' I said and walked out of the room to downstairs. Truthfully, I wasn't feeling that thirsty, but I just needed to walk a little bit instead of trying to fall asleep forcefully.

When I got to the kitchen, I put on the lights and almost had a heart attack when I saw Yoongi sitting alone in the darkness. ''Oh my god, Yoongi, you killed me!'' I whisper-yelled.

''Sorry,'' he said. I went to get that one class of water and sat in front of him.

''You can't sleep either?'' I asked. Yoongi is the only one who can sleep anywhere, anytime.

He nodded. ''I mean, who could when all of this is happening again? I thought we were past this thing. I could live peacefully in Daegu, not being afraid my sister could be in danger again.''

I felt bad. Yoongi had told me how happy his parents were for making this all end. His sister was back in school, and Yoongi could spend more time with her now. He felt safe himself, too, and felt peace inside.

''Yoongi, I'm sorry,'' I said.

''Sorry? You?'' he snapped. ''How can you be the one saying sorry? He is not your father. Jungkook should be the one saying sorry here.''

''I know you're mad because of all this, but it is my fault too. This all started with me. Mr Jeon wanted to revenge his wife's death because he thought my parents planned to kill her when it was an accident,'' I sighed.

''Nah, I don't think it's about that anymore. It is Mr Jeon's personal vendetta against Jungkook now. Jungkook put him in prison, took over his company, and basically unobeyed everything he had ever said to him. I don't wonder why, but it is not about you,'' Yoongi explains.

Could it really be because of that?

''Think about it,'' Yoongi started. ''As he has this huge advantage to rule even from prison, I'm sure he knows that your parents are back in Busan. If he wanted revenge, I think he would have killed all of you already.''

That makes sense. Mr Jeon had time on his hands, but now, all of a sudden, he is back, and yet he's been only teasing Jungkook with his things.

''I know you want to protect him, but I think it's time for you to protect yourself,'' Yoongi said as he stood up. He then walked to the guest room, leaving me alone to think about things.
