It is on you
It was night, and the guys had decided to return to the hotel. They checked outside multiple times, and they found no one. But they wanted to stay in Busan and not return to their cities.
After the little fight between you two, they heard everything, as it was pretty hard not to. They understood Yoongi's idea and needed to stay with Jungkook. Even though this wasn't technically their fight and only Jungkook's, they wanted to stay and support their youngest one.
They weren't the type of friends to leave their friends in trouble. They believed they weren't in the line. After all, they ended up in this situation through their own parents. The parents happened to be either friends with Jungkook's father or being threatened by him.
It was Jungkook who made him go to prison and get caught.
Despite Yoongi having his own opinion, he decided to stay. He knew he was a part of why you wanted to leave. He felt worse about it but also respects your decision against Jungkook.
Jungkook needed his friends. It would have been silly to leave him alone in this situation. They were going to help him no matter what the outcome was.
''Okay, sweetie, time to hit the dreamland,'' I said to Hangeum as I covered him up to bed. ''Tomorrow we'll leave for a little vacation with grandparents.''
''Will appa come too?'' he asked.
I smiled painfully at his question. ''No sweetie. Appa has a lot of work to do so he isn't able to come with us. Maybe next time.''
''But I want appa to come!'' he said, pouting.
''I know, honey, I know. But appa wishes us a nice trip. And we won't be long! You can eat as much food as grandma makes you! And we can go swimming and explore places!''
I assume he doesn't remember much from our first trip to Jeju as he was younger. I was trying to get him out of the thought that Jungkook wasn't coming with us.
After many whines from him, he finally fell asleep, and usually, we both leave them with the tantrum and try to ignore it because they have to learn to sleep in their own beds. But this time, I felt he was somehow sensing what was happening between Jungkook and me.
I kissed him on the forehead and stood up from the floor. I walked to the door and slowly shut it but left it open slightly. I met Jungkook in the hallway. He must have got Misuk asleep quicker than I did with Hangeum.
''Even our son knows this is a bad idea,'' Jungkook mumbled and walked to our bedroom. I, of course, followed him.
''Don't be ridiculous, he doesn't know the real reason why we go there,'' I said. ''And can't you understand that this is best for all of us.''
Jungkook shook his head. ''I still don't see a point, even after hyung explained it. It's just bizarre, and what if you two are wrong? What if my father does come after you when I'm not near the three of you?''
I sighed and walked to him. ''Will it make you feel at ease if one of your security men comes with us? I know it's not our plan, but I'm sure it's no trouble.''
Honestly, I did want to go along with the kids and my parents. Of course, I was afraid that Yoongi was wrong. But Jungkook is too scared, and I feel he wouldn't focus on this situation because of me.
''Would it?'' I asked, caressing his arm.
''Mmm... I guess,'' he mumbled again. ''But all of you could be here, and I could protect all of you.''
