"One day without drama would be mindful," she whispers to herself.

Kamari's foster parents were always fighting every chance they got. She tries her hardest not to

be in the middle of things but her foster mom refuses to leave her alone. Every other night,

her foster mom either comes in drunk, high, or a different person, and when she does

they either yelling through the walls, glass being thrown and knocked out on the

kitchen floor.

She worked as a part-time nurse and a full-time bitch to her family. Kamari

and her little sister Cindy never really had a bond with their mom. In fact, when Kamari

first came along to the family, Cindy wasn't even noticeable to her mother nevertheless

her father either.

Beverly and her husband were in the midst of a messy divorce when

Cindy was born. Her father never laid eyes on her until she was 10. Every now and then

" Alright," Kamari said annoyingly. "were at this time?" Kamari had two moods when it came down to her foster mom. She was either ready to kill her and run away or just care for her as she cares for her little sister.

" You know where Mari," Cindy says with disappointment as she walked away with tears towards her room. Cindy had always loved her mom, but only from afar. It was her biggest fear of watching her mom be in a casket.

Kamari stops doing her homework to go handle her mom. Without a doubt, her mother

starts yelling at her.

" what are you looking at? Do I look stupid to you?" she says while slurring her words. " You're an ungrateful little bastard, you know that right?

she takes one look at her and starts getting angry. Her hair was up in a pineapple, her face was

turning red and her arms were folded while standing near the kitchen table where her mom was

sitting. Kamari couldn't help but remind herself of the last time this happened.
