[1] Godric- Old Times

A/N: I got this idea seeing pictures of Godric and Eric in their World War 2 uniforms. Also, the time line of things isn't really correct lol but just go with it, you'll see what I mean when you read it.

You stared at your reflection one last time in the mirror before waltzing down your staircase, your beautiful f/c halter top dress flowing behind you on the steps (I know the 40's didn't have dresses like this but just go with it).

You had curled your hair and put on a light shade of lipstick and some dangling earrings. You felt pretty and were excited and giddy at just the thought of Godric coming over soon for a dinner-date, well more like a date then dinner because he's a vampire of course.

You made your way into your living room and looked over your Christmas tree with a smile, your eyes landing on a few ornaments that Godric had given you from his travels. Just thinking about the man made a huge smile form on your face and you couldn't help but blush.

You snapped out of your thoughts as your doorbell rang. You excitedly jumped up and quickly made your way to the door, stopping and petting your hair down before you opened it. Slowly opening the door, revealed the gorgeous Godric on the other side in his military uniform holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers.

He looked so handsome that a blush had spread across your face and your heart rate sped up, and you knew he had sensed it.

Smiling widely, you said breathily, "Godric."

"Hello Y/N. You look quite beautiful tonight." Godric said softly as he politely looked you over and stepped into your house.

"T-Thank you." you said with a blush. "You look very handsome yourself."

"Thank you." he smiled charmingly as he handed you the flowers. "These are for you. And..." he said and you looked to his arms to see a bottle of your favorite wine. How hadn't you noticed!?

"Your favorite wine." he smiled shyly as he handed the bottle to you.

You smiled with a blush still on your cheeks. This was so sweet and it just made you want to melt with love.

"Thank you, Godric. You didn't have to." you smiled as you took the flowers and began walking to the kitchen to put them in a vase.

"Of course I did. Beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl." Godric replied shyly and flirtatiously at the same time.

A blush spread across your face again as you told him to make himself at home in the living room.

You smiled as you filled the vase with water and stared at the flowers. "He's so sweet...he remembered my favorite flowers and wine. Ugh, he's amazing." you said quietly and love-dovey to yourself. Unknowingly to you, Godric had heard with his vampire hearing and blushed as he smiled. (Just pretend vampires can blush lol)

You turned away from the flowers and grabbed two glasses, your bottle of wine, and a bottle of Tru Blood for Godric and made your way into the living room. When you walked in you saw Godric looking at photos over your fireplace and smiling.

"When did you take this one?" he asked as he showed you the photo in his hand.

You set the drinks and glasses down and walked over to him to get a look at which photo he was holding. As soon as you saw it, you smiled widely. It was a picture of Godric you had taken, many years before, as he looked at the lantern-lit beach. He had no idea you took the photo to begin with.

"That was in Santorini, Greece. A few years ago when you took me for my birthday." you replied with a wide smile, and then stared at the photo again, your thoughts coming out before you could process them. "You looked so handsome leaning over that balcony and watching the ocean below. I just had to take a photo."
