TW: mentions of torture, kidnapping, and experimentation BUT has a happy ending!

Two weeks.

It had been two weeks since you, Pam, and Sookie had been kidnapped and experimented on.

They beat you, threatened you, and degraded you, but that was nothing compared to how helpless you felt when you would witness your friends, Sookie and Pam, get the same treatment. Your senses were weak and so was your physical strength. It would be impossible to escape in this condition.

The three of you were all in the same room, chained up to opposite walls, you being on the wall directly across from the door that entered the room. Silver was tied against your wrists and ankles, but the burn on your throat from previously having silver there, probably hurt the most. You couldn't heal it.

Two weeks.

Two whole weeks it had been since you last fed and yet, they drained you on a routine. You were weak, broken, a useless excuse of a vampire. Yet, you stayed somewhat hopeful. Someone was bound to notice your disappearance, right? If not you, then Sookie or Pam, definitely. Someone had to be looking for you guys....right?

But that's not what those anti-supernatural freaks that call themselves 'doctor's' said. The ones that are always beating or draining you had pretty much drilled into your mind that there was no escape, and no one was coming for you.

One week.

It's been one week since you caved into their words and given up pretty much all of your hope of being rescued.

No one was coming.

No one was coming.

No one was- wait, was that mint?

You sniffed the air again, weakly, and caught the faint smell of it again.

"Pam?" you whispered to your left.

"Hmm?" she answered weakly. You were centuries older than her, so it took more to take you down than it did for her.

"Do you smell that?" you whispered with your eyes closed and sniffed again. Was it true? Did you really smell mint?

"No...my senses are all screwed up." she replied back sadly as she looked over at you.

"What do you smell?" Sookie asked weakly from the wall to your right.

"Mint." you said, but the last few sniffs you hadn't smelled it anymore. Maybe it was just your imagination?

"But I can't pick up on it anymore." you said in defeat.

"Do you think...." Pam started and you lifted your head to look at her in the dimly lit room.

"Yes...at least I hope so." you croaked out. Your throat had been dry for days now and if you and Pam, and Sookie too, didn't eat something soon, the three of you were going to die.

"Did you get anything else?" Pam asked.

You shook your head. "No, I'm sorry. It was so faint that I probably imagined it." you said sadly and let out a sigh.

"It's okay," Sookie started and offered you a weak smile. Her bottom lip had a cut on it, having been busted multiple times. "We need some excitement that isn't draining."

You and Pam let out a strangled laughs and you nodded your head.

Turning to Pam you gazed at her form. Sickly skinny, really pale, and eyes that were bloodshot. You felt so bad for her, she was too young of a vampire to be in a predicament like this, yet here she was.
