You and Godric sat in a cell in the basement of The Fellowship of the Sun church. You had handed yourself over to them, to try and stop them from murdering more of your fellow vampires, but Godric had gone after you, somehow getting himself in the cell with you. But you had your doubts- he's an old and strong vampire, he could protect himself- as could you. The more you thought about it, the more you didn't understand why he even went after you in the first place.

You leaned your head back against the concrete wall behind you and closed your eyes. "Do you remember when we got married? In our human lives?" you asked softly to Godric, who leaned against the adjacent wall to your left.

Things hadn't been the same between you guys for a while now. After Godric had turned into a vampire and left you, you had roamed around a few years desperately trying to find him. When one day, a vampire turned you and you walked among the darkness.

When you had found Godric again in your new lives, something was different about him, and there was a small amount of tension between the two of you. You wanted it gone, just wanting to be with the man you had fallen in love with and married. But things were different now- many hundreds of years had passed between the two of you- and you weren't sure he even loved you the way you still loved him.

"Of course I do." Godric spoke calmly from his side of the cell. His mind flooded with the memories of him asking your father for permission to marry you- which he said yes- to seeing you walk down the aisle in the beautiful white halter top dress you wore, to your wedding night, where the both of you made love for the first time. You looked so beautiful that day, and he had been the luckiest man alive.

"Do you remember our vows?" you asked, deep in thought, then added, "Death did us apart." as you played with the wedding band still on your ring finger.

"Not necessarily. We are dead now, together." Godric spoke softly as he looked over at you.

"Sometimes, I just wish we could go back to the way things used to be. Especially between us." you mumbled quietly.

Godric vampire sped over to you, kneeling in front of you and holding your hands in his. "It can. We can. If that is what you want, of course." Godric said softly.

"I do. But only if you can love me again." you whispered softly as you felt blood tears coming to your eyes.

"I never stopped loving you."

"You don't even wear your wedding ring anymore." you pointed out sadly as you glanced at his ringless ring finger.

Godric pulled one of his hands away from yours and into the top of his shirt, pulling out a necklace with a ring on it. "I wear it on my chest, so you are closer to my heart. Although it no longer beats anymore." Godric admitted softly as he gazed at you, love in his eyes.

You let out a small sob and blood tears ran down your cheeks. "You were always so good with words."

Godric smiled and leaned forward, placing a small kiss to your forehead. He then moved so he was sitting beside you, your head against his chest.

"When we get out of here, we're going to get married again." he said with a boyish smile.

You couldn't help the sad smile spreading across your face. "If we get out of here. Then we'll get married again." you stated and nuzzled into his chest.

—— Few days after Evacuate the Church ——

You and Godric had survived, escaping the church with the others who came to rescue you both.

Currently, you sat at the empty bar of Fangtasia, the only people there being: you, Godric, Bill, Eric, Pam, and Sookie.

You took a sip of your Tru Blood as Sookie slid into the seat beside yours.
