"Hi grandma." you said with a sad smile as you knelt at her grave.

"It's been a while since I last came. I'm sorry for that. College and work have been keeping me so busy and stressed lately. But I'm here now." you said with a small smile as you placed flowers on her grave.

"Hello, my child." came a males voice, suddenly, from your right.

"Oh hi." you gasped slightly as you turned to see it was a boy around your age, except he was awfully pale. As you gazed at him your eyes landed on his and you saw the most beautiful pair of green eyes you have ever seen before. A blush spread across your face as you noticed you were staring and you instantly tore your eyes away.

"I-I'm sorry for staring." you said with embarrassment.

"It is alright, my child." the boy said as he gazed at you in the moonlight.

"Are you visiting someone?" you asked as you looked back at the boy.

"Yes. An old friend." he replied calmly.

You nodded your head and then gazed at him again. You weren't stupid, you knew he was a vampire but you didn't know why he was talking to you. He didn't seem creepy or anything and it definitely didn't feel like he was going to drain you of your blood, so why was he talking to you? Was he lonely?

"Could I ask you something?" you asked hesitantly.

The boy nodded his head for you to continue and you just blurted it out. "How old are you?"

The corners of the boys lips twitched into a smile as he answered calmly, "Over two thousand years old."

"Wow..." you said in fascination and then began to think. "So that was like, Ancient Rome? Greece?"

"Ancient Rome. Correct." the boy said softly. His voice was so smooth that all you wanted to do was listen to it forever. It like a calm stream over rocks.

"Wow. I-I would love to hear your story sometime. If that's okay with you!" you rushed out in embarrassment. "I um, I'm a history buff and I love learning about things from the ancient world." you admitted sheepishly.

"Of course, my child. I would love to tell it to you." he said as he stepped closer to you. "Probably another time though. The sun will rise soon."

"Oh yes! Sorry." you said as you scrambled through your purse for a pen and paper. You scribbled your name and number on it and handed it to him. As he grabbed the paper, your fingers brushed his and you seemed to have visions. Or were they memories?

You gasped as you pulled your hand away from his as if he had just burned you and looked at him in shock and confusion. The poor boy  looked as if he had done something bad as his eyes widened.

"Are you alright?" he asked as his eyes scanned your face.

"I just- I saw images...memories?" you said as you looked up at him confused.

"What did you see?" he asked seriously as he took another step closer to you.

"You...you killed your maker..." you started as you brought your eyes up to his nervously, "You creating a male progeny....and then centuries later a female...and then I saw me. You looking at me-the moment you spoke to me." you rushed out as you looked at him panicked.

"I-I am so sorry I didn't mean to do that. It's never happened to me before. I have no idea what that was." you said as your breathing quickened.

"Hey, hey..." he said as he squatted down in front of you, his hand resting on your cheek softly.

"You do not have to apologize. You must have powers, a faerie or a witch?" he asked. He could sense that you were really panicked and truly had no idea what happened.

"I-I don't think so. I don't remember having powers to begin with." you admitted truthfully.

"Why were those the only four images I saw? Were they the most important things that have happened in your life or something?" you asked in a whisper as you stared into his pale green eyes.

The boy didn't reply as he stood up and looked at the sky, the sun already beginning to rise.

"I must be going." he stated.

You didn't know why but you blushed as you watched him begin to walk away.

"What's your name?" you called out to him.

"Godric." he replied simply and then he was gone.

You sat there stunned for a few seconds, still staring in the direction he had left in.

"Wow, did you see that grandma? He was so cute, and charming." you admit swooned. "I hope he calls me."

With that, you placed a kiss on your grandmothers headstone, and then stood up, walking to your car to leave.
