Last Breath - chapter 19.
"Ok. So I was thinking on getting one of those buggies, you know the ones that are a pram with a car seat that clicks in?" I said to Taylor as we entered a baby shop. After looking around intently I settled on an orange and grey buggy, with a orange car seat which clicked snugly into place. I then found the perfect cot, it was light mahogany with a white cushioning lining the inside.
"Now, time for the clothes!" Summer squealed. Soon enough we came to mother care, where I was more than happy to purchase my baby's clothes. After spending an hour in mother care we were exhausted. I bought; five baby grows, two white dresses, in case its a girl, and five pairs of jeans, eight t-shirts, two skirts, seven pairs of socks, four hats and seven bibs. I was happy but my stomach clearly wasn't it grumbled violently and everyone's eyes immediately darted to it. I blushed and smiled.
"Well as you can tell, I'm starving. Plus, I'm eating for two, sooo, can we please go to that lovely Chinese all you can eat down the road?" I said excitedly.
"Anything for you my darling fiancé." Taylor grinned. I grinned back. I was Taylor's fiancé. That had a nice ring to it. Next thing I knew we were standing outside of the Chinese all you can eat. My stomach rumbled again, as if on queue.
"Table for seven please." Lynne smiled handing over the right amount of money. We had all flipped a coin and it turned out that Lynne was buying. The Chinese man who was once standing in the doorway, left his post and led us to a table that could sit eight. We sat down, and we decided that the second loser of the coin toss, would sit and wait at the table while we all stuffed our plates with unnecessary amounts of food. After about seven trips each I was absolutely stuffed.
"Guys, I think I'm gonna have a fat Buddha baby now." I giggled and everyone laughed along with me. I gasped. And everyone looked at me, worried expressions crossing their faces.
"The baby. Its just kicked for the first time, quick, feel its kicking!" I exclaimed excitedly. Taylor's hand was the first hand to shoot to my stomach. His smile widened, his eyes filled with tears and he laughed happily. I leaned over and kissed him softly on the lips, using my thumbs to wipe away his tears.
"Taylor, I thought it would never kick, but its kicking!" I squealed ecstatic. Taylor looked into my eyes and nodded.
"That's our baby in there, Annie, we're going to be parents!" he replied with a small chuckle, I giggled back at him with watery eyes, placing my forehead against his. I forgot we were here with other people. Everyone were 'awwing' and clapping. I giggled as a blush crept to my cheeks. After a bit more food and more kicking from the baby, we walked out of the Chinese. My and Taylor content, hand in hand. Summer wasn't watching where she was going and she bumped into someone. We turned to look at this unknown man. I looked up to see a rather attractive guy. He had blonde hair, straight and swept to the side of his head, he had bright blue eyes and a cheeky smile. I was glad to see he wasn't letting his body go to waste, he had a tight v-neck t-shirt on, along with blue skin tight jeans and white plimsolls. He looked down, and the second his eyes met Summer's she blushed so much she looked like a tomato with hair!
"Umm sorry, didn't see you there." he said, a blush creeping onto his own cheeks. He was holding Summer's phone, he looked down at it momentarily typing something. With a wink he handed her phone, his hand lingering on hers a moment longer than necessary, before he walked past her. Everyone's eyes snapped to Summer, who was blushing insanely. She looked down at her phone and a smile spread over her face.
"He gave me his number. His names' Leon." She giggled. I smiled pulling her into a hug.
"Summer's got a boyfriend!" I sang in a high-pitched voice. She rolled her eyes.
