"Hey, you've reached Lo. Leave a message and I'll get back to you at my earliest convenience. Thank you, and have a blessed day." BEEP. I hung up the phone, gripping it tightly in my hand, as I stared at Lo's bedroom window; even though I couldn't see shit, because her blinds were closed.
When I woke up this morning, I didn't expect to find Lo gone, but she was and I think it was because she heard me tell her that I loved her. On top of that, I had been calling her all damn day, but she refused to answer my calls or text; let alone call me back and that pissed me off. I had half a mind to go over to her house, just to see what her problem was, but I decided against it when I saw that detective arriving at her house. It was all over the news, about Bella's body being found, after someone called the police and reported an abandoned car in the alley. I didn't expect for someone to find her so soon, but I could care less about any of that. I cleaned up my prints and covered my tracks well, so I was in the clear, but I couldn't say the same for Kash. Once they see those messages, they'd suspect that he did it, and lock is ass up, leaving me and Lo to ride off into the sunset.
Heading downstairs, I was about to go over to Lo's house to see what her deal was, but as soon as I stepped outside, I saw Kash's car pulling up in the driveway. What the fuck was he doing over there? And why the fuck would Lo even want to see his cheating ass? Surely, he heard about the news of Bella being dead, which is why he's there, but it's my job to comfort her. Not him! I stood there for a minute, thinking that Lo wouldn't even let him in the house, and he'd just get back in his car and leave, but it never happened. Minutes went by, and he still hadn't come out, and when those minutes turned into an hour... I knew something was going down.
"She wouldn't do this to me." I said to myself, as I stepped off of the porch. I looked around before creeping next door, looking for a way in without me getting caught. Searching to see if there was a window unlocked, I was shit out of luck. Lo must've locked everything after the break in that happened at my crib, which I couldn't blame her for, but how was I going to eavesdrop on her and Kash now? I was out of options. My best bet now was to just wait it out, in hopes that she wasn't thinking about getting back with him, because I wouldn't let that happen. I'd kill them both before I let her think that she could play with my emotions, just to rip my heart out of my chest and stomp on it. I already allowed a bitch to come into my life, play with my emotions, only to try and fuck me over in the end; and I'll me damned if I let that shit happen again. So Lo better make a choice, and soon, because if I have to do it... Nobody will live to tell the story.

The next morning, I woke up in Kash's loving embrace, and I felt like everything was finally right with the world. Despite me feeling trifling for sleeping with Vic the day before yesterday, just to turn around and sleep with Kash last night, but I was completely done juggling two niggas. Kash was the one that I wanted to be with, even though we had a long way to go before we even thought about walking down the aisle, I was in this for the long haul, and I hope he was too.
"Good morning, babe." Kash said, placing a kiss on my forehead.
"Morning." I smiled. "You hungry? I can make us some breakfast."
"Nah, you just sit tight and let me handle breakfast, aight?" My eyes widened with surprise, as he climbed out of bed, and slid on his basketball shorts. It's been awhile since Kash cooked for me, even before we separated, so you can imagine why I was a little surprised at his actions. "Don't look at me like that."
"Sorry, it's just been awhile since you've cooked for me." I sat up in the bed, clenching the bed covers over my naked body.
"I know, and I promise that things are gonna change between us. First things first, I'm gonna stop bullshittin and get a job. Then, I'mma earn my way back into your heart, and hopefully, back into the house." He said, making my smile widen. This was the Kash that I knew and loved, but I hoped that he was serious and not all talk.
"I love you so much." I said, crawling towards the end of the bed with my lips puckered. He chuckled, and leaned down, pecking my lips, before leaving the room and heading downstairs. I then climbed out of the bed and headed into the bathroom, so I could shower and get ready for the day. I knew I would probably have to deal with Vic, and hopefully, he wouldn't just pop up while Kash was here, but I planned on talking to him and letting him down easy. It hurt me knowing that he had deep feelings for me, but I can't help the fact that I didn't feel the same way, and I hope that he could accept that, and we can move on from there.
After my shower, I dressed in some grey and white leggings and a white tank top, before heading downstairs, and finding Kash being handcuffed while the detective from yesterday, stood in front of him, and read him his rights.
"Anything you say, can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney-"
"What is going on?" I voiced, cutting him off.
"Ma'am, I'm going to need you to stay back." One of the officers snapped at me.
"Baby, its all good. These dumb ass muthafuckas tryna pin Bella's death on me, but I know I ain't do it, so just call up a lawyer, or something, and get me out." He said, as I nodded my head. The detective started laughing, looking at Kash as if he knew something that we didn't. "The fuck is so funny?"
"Let me ask you something, Kash. You were sleeping with the deceased, is that correct?" The detective asked. Kash looked at me, knowing that I told this man about his and Bella's sexual relations, but he sighed heavily, and shrugged his shoulders.
"Ion know."
"You don't know? Well then... I'm sure you know all about the text messages that you two were sending before she died."
"Text messages? What text messages?" I questioned, glaring at him.
"I don't know what he's talking about, babe, I swear, I don't." He said quickly, while the detective snickered.
"We found the deceased's phone at the scene of the crime, and apparently, you were the last person to see her alive. The text messages indicated that she had some sort of proof about your neighbor being a problem, in you two's relationship, that she wanted to share with you, and you asked her to meet you. Next thing I know, she ends up dead, and you? Well, you just seem to not care, do you?" The detective questioned, as I looked at Kash in disbelief. At this point, I didn't know what or who to believe, even though the detective clearly had proof. And then it hit me.
"Hold on. Detective, you told me that Bella was killed between three and four the day before yesterday, correct?" I asked, as he nodded his head. "Well, Kash and I were in couple's counseling at the time, so he couldn't have possibly done anything."
"Yeah, that's right! I can even give you the counselor's name and number, so he can tell you himself." Kash said, quickly.
"We can do all that down at the station. Come on." They hauled Kash out of the house, while I quickly followed behind him.
"Why are you taking him when he clearly has an alibi?"
"Because he still sent her text messages to the same location where she was murdered, so even if he didn't physically kill her... He knows who did." And with that, he turned and got into his car, while I looked at Kash getting forced into the police car.
"I'll get you out, babe! I promise." I told him, as he nodded his head, and blew me a kiss. I placed both of my hands on my head, watching as all the squad cars pulling off, leaving me standing alone in the driveway. My eyes then traveled over towards Vic's house, knowing that he was probably watching everything that just went down, even though I couldn't physically see him. What did Bella mean when she said she had proof that Vic was the cause of me and Kash's problems? I really didn't know, but I was going to make it my mission to find out.
