Prologue
BANG! BANG! BANG!
I gasped, as I pushed Vic off of me, and quickly sat up, looking at the door. "I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! OPEN THE FUCK UP!" I could hear the anger and sadness in my fiancé's voice, as I looked up at Vic, who was unfazed by the fact that my man was literally, on the other side of the door.
"Ignore him, baby. He'll go away." He said, crawling back on top of me. He started kissing on my neck, making me moan a little, but the banging against the door distracted me from going any further.
"I can't do this. I'm sorry, but I can't." I said, pushing him off of me once again. I pushed my dress down and stood up, gathering my things so I could try and calm Kash down. I knew that once I opened this door, I was going to be in a world of hurt, but I'm sure Vic would feel the pain before I did.
"So, you really just gon' leave me? After everything we've been through?" Vic questioned, grabbing my arm. I looked back at him, taking in his mouthwatering chocolate physique, removing myself from his hold.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, feeling the tears swell up in my eyes.
"So... What? You tryna tell me this is over?"
"It has to be. If Kash and I work through this, which I'm sure we will, I'll still be marrying him." He chuckled a little, taking a step towards me, as I stumbled back a little. The look on his face was something I had never seen before, and in all honesty... I was terrified. "V-Vic... Please."
"Please what? PLEASE WHAT?" He shouted, making me jump. "You not about to sit here, in my fucking face, and tell me that you bout to leave me for that nigga that don't give two fucks about you! I will kill you before I let that happened!" I swallowed hard, as I turned and took off running towards the door, losing my footing as I fell against the hard, marble floors.
"KASH!" I called out, feeling a strong grip on my hair as Vic started dragging me back towards the living room. "STOP! PLEASE, VIC, STOP!"
"I thought I meant something to you, Lo. Let's not forget, baby, I'm the one that was there for you when you needed someone to talk to! I was the shoulder you cried on because that weak ass nigga of yours wasn't doing his job! I wined and dined you, treating you like the queen that you are, and you tryna tell me that you still want to be with that clown? Man, fuck that!" He finally let go of my hair, grabbing my face, and forcing me to look into his dark, cold eyes. The same eyes that used to make me go weak in the knees, giving me those butterfly flutter feelings every time I saw them, are the same eyes that I feared the most right now. "I'm not letting you go, Lo. I love you, and I refused to let you leave me for that nigga! So you need to make a decision, and you need to make it right fucking now! Me or him."
"Vic..." I cried, as he covered my mouth with his hand.
"Shhh... I wasn't finished." He whispered, placing a kiss on my forehead. "If you choose me, I'll allow you to invite Kash inside so you can let him down easy. I'll even let him walk away with his life. But If you choose him... Well... None of us will live to tell this story, and I'm sure you don't want that. Do you?" I shook my head, crying harder, as he grabbed my face and kissed my lips. Out of nowhere, the sound of the door getting kicked in startled us both, as we jumped up and saw Kash storming into the house.
"Kash!" I wanted to jump into his arms and kiss him, but Vic held a grip on my arm as he glared at him.
"Let her go!" Kash growled, matching his glare. He laughed a little, running his hands down his beard, as he stood up and helped me up off of the floor.
"Baby, the floor is yours." I opened my mouth to talk, but the only thing that came out was whimpering cries. I was so scared at this point as I looked up at Kash, who held his hand out.
"Come on, baby. I'm taking you home." I reached out to grab his hand, but Vic yanked me back and wrapped his arms around me.
"She is home!" He spat.
"Her home is next door with me, her, and our baby!" My eyes widened as I froze, feeling Vic's body tensing up. I didn't tell him about my pregnancy, nor was I going to, only because I really didn't know if the baby was his or Kash's. Unfortunately, Kash fucked that up for me, so now I had no choice.
"Baby? What fucking baby?"
"I-I'm pregnant." I stuttered, nervously looking back at him. I took this moment as an opportunity to move away from him, standing in between both him and Kash. I should've just made a run for the door again, but I was too scared to make any sudden movements.
"Pregnant? By this nigga, or me?" He asked. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, fearing that what I was about to say next might kill us all.
"It's Kash's baby. At first, I wasn't sure, but when I went to the doctor... She confirmed the dates." I could hear Kash sighing with relief as he grabbed my hand. I turned towards him and saw the relieved look on his face. "I'm so sorry, Kash! I didn't mean-" I was cut off by Vic, who grabbed me and slammed me down on the ground, bringing his foot up and stomping down on my stomach as hard as he could.
"NO!" I cried out.
"WHAT THE FUCK, MAN?!" I heard Kash shout, as I screamed out in agonizing pain. I rolled over on my side, grabbing ahold of my stomach, as Kash and Vic started to fight. The last thing I heard before I blacked out was a whole lot of yelling, and then... POW! POW! POW!
