The chase is on

(Normal pov)

Thorin pulled Erica and protectively armed himself in front of her. She quickly armed herself as well.

"Was that a wolf? Are there--are there wolves out there?" Bilbo asked.

"Wolves? No, that is not a wolf." Bofur said slowly. They failed to notice a wolf like creature sneak up behind them in the trees. Erica saw it and screamed " watch out!"

it leaps into the midst of the Company, knocking down Nori. Thorin strikes and kills it using Orcrist .Another one attacks from the other side Kili shoots it with an arrow, bringing it down. However, it gets back up, only to be killed by Dwalin with a swing of his axe.

Another one leaped towards Bilbo who yelped in fright. Erica whipped off her gloves and leaped on the back of the creature, freezing it solid at her touch. Bilbo thanked her and squirmed out from under the ice sculpture.

"Warg-Scouts! Which means an Orc pack is not far behind." Thorin growled.

"Who did you tell about your quest, beyond your kin?" Gandalf asked.

"No one." Thorin growled

"Who did you tell!" Gandalf yelled angrily

"No one, I swear! What in Durin's name is going on?" Thorin demanded

"You are being hunted." Gandalf sighed. The dwarves looked at each other in worry as Erica jumped off the warg she froze "we have to get out of here fast" she said

" She's right,we need to move it." Dwalin said.

"We can't! We have no ponies; they bolted." Ori called from where the ponies were left last.

"I'll draw them off." Radagast said jumping on his sled. Gandalf looked at his old friend in worry "These are Gundabad Wargs; they will outrun you." He warned. Radagast smirked "These are Rhosgobel Rabbits; I'd like to see them try." He said proudly. He glanced at Erica then to the dwarves "keep her safe you lot!" He warned before racing off into the woods.

Kili and Fili stayed beside Erica as everyone ran to the fields to avoid the pack. Gandalf stopped and from behind a rock as Radagast and the Wargs disappear in the distance

"Come on!" He pushed.

The Company rushes across a rocky plain. In the distance, Radagast is being chased by the Wargs. One of them crashes while trying to catch him. As the Company runs across the plain, they see the Wargs not too far from them, so they hide behind the rocks. Erica breathed deeply, trying to catch her breath. She felt a wave of dizziness wash over her making her stumble slightly. Bilbo saw this and furrowed his brows in concern.

Gandalf urged her next to him "stay close to me Erica. Everyone stay together!" He ordered.

Thorin ordered them to move so they ran further while Radagast managed to knock a few Orcs and Wargs off course. As the chase continues, Thorin stops behind a rock so that he is not seen by the Wargs but Ori starts to run out of the cover. Erica quickly jumped forward and grabbed the young dwarfs sleeve "No Ori! Stay back!" She gasped pulling him to his brother. When the coast was clear Gandalf urged everyone to move on.

"Where are you leading us?" Thorin asked.

Gandalf doesn't answer he ran forward. Thorin rolled his eyes and followed him, making sure Erica was kept in his sights. As the Warg scouts chase Radagast, one of them stops and scents the air. The company take cover behind an outcropping of rock.

They kept silent as they heard the scout and his Warg appear on top of the outcropping, scenting the air while un sheathing his sword. Thorin looks at Kili and nods; Kili nodded and glanced at Erica. She nodded putting her hand on the point and grew a deadly icicle on it.
