BITTER SIDE OF LIFE (SAIDA)

The sound of the small waves are soothing same as the wind blows. Billion of stars twinkling above the sky but two eyes twinkling because of tears.

"Why? What's the reason why we can not be together till the end?" The tall girl said while she's wiping her trailing tears.

"It's just that, we can't, Sana" The blonde girl said.

They're facing each other 4 feet apart, the water from the ocean touches their feet. It's cold, same as the breeze.

"Tell me why, Dahyun. Please" Sana pleads then she held Dahyun's hands.

Dahyun sighed deeply,

"We're not meant to be," Dahyun started

"My heart belongs to someone, Sana" Dahyun said as she brushed off Sana's hands on hers.

"That's absurd, Dahyun! How can you say that?" Sana took a step forward then she hugged Dahyun so tight.

So tight. How Sana wish that Dahyun will hold her like that too, so tight, to the point that she can't even let go.

"You love me, right?" Sana said between her sobs, her head was on Dahyun's left shoulder.

"Loved, Sana" Dahyun answered, she softly pushed Sana to look at her eyes.

Her beautiful face is a mess right now, her happy eyes were now sad, her sexy lips were swollen. Dahyun can't see it, but her heart breaks into a thousand pieces.

"Are you breaking up with me right now?" Sana took a step back,

"We supposed to enjoy this day, why'd you ruin it?" Disappointment is visible in her voice.

"We supposed to make this cold night into a hot one. But why does it ended like this, Dahyun? I mean, did I do something wrong? Why is it always like this? I don't understand!" Sana almost shouted, her voice cracks and her tears starting to come out of her eyes again.

"I'm sorry, Sana. I can't no more" Dahyun said almost a whisper but still Sana heard it because she was focusing on Dahyun.

"It's always your excuse, Dahyun. Tell me a different one" Sana chuckles while her toes were playing the sand.

"I just realized something," Dahyun's being so cold since the day after they went for a vacation here.

"You're too perfect for a simple girl like me, Sana" Dahyun added.

Sana fixed her hair that are blocking her eyes then she looked up at the sky and back to Dahyun's cold eyes.

"Perfect? No, I'm not Perfect Dahyun! I made mistakes! Always! You know that!" Sana didn't want to shout but she can't handle the pain anymore.

"Nice excuse but," she smirked,

"Can't accept it" She smiled.

"Is this because of Momo? Oh, my favorite cousin?" She chuckles.

Dahyun's eyebrows furrowed.

"How does she taste? Oh, I remember you told me you wanted to eat a Japanese food. I'm here but why still find another?" Sana laughed but her voice cracked.

"Was she good at eating? Was she good at sex? Was she good at you? Am I too, right? But why'd you do th-"

"I love her, Sana! I love your cousin I love Momo, is it clear now!?" Dahyun cutted Sana's words.

"We should stop this, Sana. 7 years is enough for us" Dahyun said as she turned her back to Sana and started to walk away from the latter.

It's easy to say those words from the person who stopped loving you for years. Easy to say, hard to move on.

"You are a selfish, Dahyun" Sana whispered to the wind as she watches Dahyun's back. She wiped her tears.

Dahyun walked away. She left the broken hearted Sana at the ocean side.

Cold. Very cold. But there's nothing colder than Dahyun's heart.

"The moon looks good right now" She mumbled to herself then she smiled sadly.

Sana faced the ocean, the reflection of the moon is mesmerizing. She loves ocean, she loves moon, she loves Dahyun but she forgets to love herself.

"The ocean is beautiful right now too. I should put myself there" She said then smiled wickedly.

Sana started to walk from the shore down to the water and stopped when she felt the water was above her chest already. Her beautiful pink dress is already soaked.

She's not in her right mind right now because she felt betrayed and broken hearted.

She loves ocean but she can't really swim, she's afraid of its beauty. But now, she's not afraid at all.

"My first time and my last. I guess" Sana smiled.

And there, she let herself drown into the water not thinking about the beauty of life, she thought of the beauty of the ocean while she's in there,

Floating and not breathing anymore.

'THE MOON IS BEAUTIFUL TONIGHT, ISN'T IT?'

Yes It is, because Sana was under it.

Lifeless.
