"Is this it?" She asks as we walk over to it and I nod again "yeah" I say opening the door and walk in with Lauren "wow looks small on the outside but bigger on the inside" she says and I agree it does look like that
"How long did you live here for?" Lauren asks looking around as I shrug not knowing how long I lived in her for before walk over to the nest if baby squirrels and see that they are still here witch makes me smile before pulling out little pieces of nut and all that and put them next to the nest as I don't want to disturb them like I said
"Awe baby squirrels" I hear Lauren says with a cute ass baby voice making me smile and look at her "their so cute" she says coming to my side getting a better look at them and I agree again they are cute and after a few minutes of fussing over the babies I start a fire in the old fire place that I had used yesterday to warm the place up as it is freezing right now
After I do that I put my bag down on the new bed I had made yesterday with a new mattress that is made from cotton and fur that is all wrapped up in pelts and stitched together as the old one wasn't in very good shape and I take out my hatchet "stay here in the warmth" I say to Lauren who nods and I walk back out and start to get to work and this time with the door I decided to do something I haven't tried before witch is make a bark cover so it is disguised as the tree to help us hide from other hunters like that horrible snow leopard that use to walk around here and it is really big, bigger the the other leopard I have hunted before
I make a new door as the old one is to broken to restore and then attach the bark cover above the door and make a device with rope so I can pull it down and up witch ease even from the inside and out, now I have to attach the door meaning I have to take the other one off but it's getting dark so I can't see very well so I walk in and see Lauren sat down by the fire looking at it and my hands are a little cold from working outside in the snow so I walk over to the fire next to her
I take my fleece of seeing its covered in snow as it started snowing while I was working but it didn't stop me from getting on with what I was going and I place it down next to the fire to dry it out "was you working in the snow?" Lauren asks as I sit down nodding "yeah" I say feeling the warmth of the fire against my skin so I bring my hands up helping the warm up a little more
"You could of gotten a cold you should of came in" she says making me look at her seeing she is looking at me "I'm okay and I manage to get some work done but I need to replace the door but I do it tomorrow" I say not noticing I missed a word and she smiles at the mistake "okay but next time when it starts to snow or get colder you come in and warm up okay" Lauren says so I nod "okay I will" I say lowering my hands as they started to warm up
"What was you doing out there anyway?" She asks as I look at the fire "I show you tomorrow" I say making her chuckle at my speech mistake again "okay" she says and then moves closer to me so I lift my arm and wrap it around her as she leans against me cuddling into my side and I kiss her head as she does witch makes her smile "so why are you restoring this place?" She asks out of curiosity
"You said it will be nice to have privacy" I start off witch makes her lift her head looking at me as I speak "so I though the girls can have tree house and we have here" I say and she slowly starts to smile "if you want" I add and she chuckle softly and nods "okay, I think the girls will like that" Lauren says making me smile
Me and Lauren stay by the fire for a little longer cuddling, talking and laughing a few times before we decided to go bed on the new mattress witch is extremely comfortable if you ask me and I pull the covers over me and Lauren to keep us warm in the night as she snuggles into me and I cuddle her back as we both soon drift off to sleep
-next day-
Me and Lauren are awake already and I'm outside as well as she is and while she is collecting fire wood I am taking the door off but it was hard and being a pain in the ass so I whack it with my hatchet getting it off and making a little mess as I do "you okay?" I hear Lauren ask making me look at her and smile "yeah... It wouldn't come off so I whack it off" I say and she chuckles at me as I move the broken piece of the old door out of the way
I then grab the new door and fit it in place and attach it making sure it closes and opens correctly witch is does so I add a lock to it that I made not to long ago today and I could hear crunchy foot steps getting closer and I assume it is Lauren so I look and it is as she places down the fire wood and looks at the broken door all over the floor
