They are hurting just like me they cared for Ted as I did too so maybe they could get closure from this as well so I sit up and get out of bed without walking Lauren or kitty up and walk out the door

-skip few hours-

I've been working even though it is hard as my shoulder and ribs hurt but I don't care I need to do this and I'm almost done with it and I hear heavy foot steps making me turn and see Ella as I set birds to bring her to me as she followed them like kitty does

"Hey Ella" I say walking over to her "there is something that I need to tell you and you won't like it" I say as she lift her trunk to my poorly shoulder pointing at it making me look at it before using my good arm and stroke her trunk "Ted... He's dead" I say and she lowers her trunk looking at me

I give her a few minutes to let it sink in before she lifts her trunk "brrrrrrr" she makes her elephant noise loudly from the pain of the loss she has just found out witch I didn't think she would do but she did "hey hey it's okay" I say as I walk over to her as I see a tear roll out if her eye as she bends down to me looking at me so I wipe it away for her "I know... I know" I say softly as I rub her trunk comforting her for a few seconds

"What's going on?" I hear making me look and see Lauren looking at us with a tired look on her face "sorry we didn't mean to wake you" I say and she looks at Ella walking over to us "it's okay I was kind of waking up anyway" she says as she strokes Ella's trunk as a greeting "how long have you been awake for?" Lauren asks looking at me but I don't look at her

"Since yesterday" I say and I can see her frown her eyebrows "so you haven't been to sleep?" She asks and I nod confirming that I haven't and she looks a little concerned for me so maybe I shouldn't of said that but I can't lie to Lauren and she knows this I'm terrible at lying plus she can read me like a open book

"Come on you need some sleep babe" Lauren says taking hold of my hand "no" I say looking at Lauren making her look at me with a questioning look on her face "I need to do something first and that why I called Ella here" I say looking away from her and at Ella "I need your help" I say to Ella and she flaps her ears asking what I need help with

"Help me get some closure" I answer witch she seems to know what about so she agrees to do so and we have to wait for the girls as I also sent bird to go get them that's is if they are awake but I'm sure the birds can wake them up by annoying them

"How will you do that?" Lauren asks making me look at her "I'll show you when the girls get here" I say as we all then wait for the girls and it takes a few minutes but they soon turn up with Oliver on Dinah's shoulder "I can honestly say I've never been woken up by a bird before" Ally says and Mani nods agreeing as I see kitty walk out of stumpie over to us

"So why did we have to be woken up for?" Dinah asks with a tired tone as Lauren looks at me so they look at me "for closure" I say and they all keep looking at me so I walk over to Ella but then push the bush out of the way and let them see what I had made this morning

It's Ted made out of wood and he is standing up on his back legs and I look at the girls "I want to take it to his cave to put out side, I thought it would be nice to do something for us all to help us say goodbye properly" I say and they all seem to soften their faces and body language a little more then before and kitty wags his tail a little like it is a good idea and Oliver makes a cute noise saying he would like to say goodbye as well as he understands that Ted is gone as I'm sure the girls have told him last night

"I'm sure were all be happy to" Mila says making me give them all a soft small smile witch the return and Ella will have to drag it there as none of us will be able to so she wraps her trunk around it and picks it up as kitty walks over to me and bends down a little so I climb on him as I'm guessing he can tell I am too tired to walk anywhere

We all start to make our way to Ted's cave and it only take a couple of minutes and soon we all are standing outside of his cave entrance and Ella walks over to it and places the statue down carefully before walking back to where she was before

Seeing the statue standing there does give me some kind of closure even if it isn't the kind I'm looking for its the kind I can get and need in some type of way witch makes me feel a little better about this whole thing even if he isn't here he will still be here in spirit

"He will always be in our hearts and memories" Mila says making the girls look at her and making me smile a little at her words and nod "gone but not forgotten" I say making them all look at me so I look at them and send them a little smile witch they all return back to me
