Panthers as fast and very flexible and have so much stamina that it is unreal so out running this thing isn't a option or even a possibility at all we are for sure dead meat if it sees us
I keep my eyes low but on the panther as it then goes back to eating the deer so I uncover Mani and look at her and I gesture for her to be quiet and she nods before I let her get her aim at the panther and I know she has to make this count and I don't need to tell her this for her to know because if she misses were dead...
I can tell she is extremely nervous by her hands as she is shaking making me frown and put my hand on her and she looks at me 'breath' I silently tell her and she nods taking a few quiet breath calming her nerves down a little and once she stops shaking she nods feeling a little more confident about this and I watch the panther as she pulls the string back and I make sure she will hit it and she will as there is no wind at this moment
I hear her stop breathing like she is holding her breath so I know she is about to shoot so I watch intensely as the arrow slowly gets released from her hand and the string springs into actions and pushes the arrow forward and off of the bow and I watch as the arrow cuts through the air towards the panther that is still eating
The panther looks up as it hears the string from the bow twing as Mani released it and looks directly at me and Mani and I hear Mani release her breath breathing again as the arrow gets closer and closer to the panther and the animal looks at the arrow and realizes what is happening but was to slow as it goes straight into its chest getting its heart
"Oh my god" Mani says and the panther falls to the floor "amen" I hear Ally says from up on the rock and Mani stand up and so do I back on all fours walking over to the panther as I have got the stick to even my weight out so all fours it is for now and me and Mani get to the panther that is still breathing but is struggling to stay alive
"It's still alive" Mani says with a sad tone like she is sorry for the pain it is going through so I look at her seeing her with a sad look in her eyes and the girls come over to us seeing it is still alive with a sad look in their eyes so I look back at it and get close to it and the panther looks at me as I look into its eyes and see it is asking me to end the pain
I bring up both hands and grab it's hand looking at it "what are you doing?" Dinah asks but then I twist its head 'snap' killing it by snapping it's neck "oh god" Ally says with a tone I haven't heard before making me look at her seeing her covering her eyes "sorry god forgive me for I have sinned, amen" she says after as I look at the girls who look at me "putting it out of it's misery" I say and they knew it is for the best so they nod as Ally uncovers her eyes
After skinning it and all that we all decided it was enough hunting for today so they start walking back as I crawl on all fours as usual "you know I though hunting would be fun but... Turns out to be depressing" Dinah says making me look at them as I crawl along another fallen down tree "how about I take you all to the place where I found kitty?" I ask trying to brighten the mood and it seemed to work
They agreed so I start crawling in the direction of the place I found him and kitty isn't with us at the moment he is at home sleeping as he was a little tired from the run he had before me and Lauren left so he is resting getting his energy that he had burnt off and I don't think he would want to come with us to the place that made him have nightmares and I didn't expect him to come here anyway
After a few minutes of them walking and me crawling we were near the destination "how come you walk on all fours?" Mila asks making me look up at her as we walk and their all looking at me crawling "when I was a kid I just grown up with kitty who walks on all fours so I thought it was normal and I saw the monkeys on all fours as well and they were the closest thing that looked like me so to me it's normal like walking on both of your legs is normal to you" I answer back looking forward looking where I am going as they keep looking at me
"So walking on you hands is like walking on our feet to us?" Ally asks and I nod "yep" I say and I jump up on a log that was in my way as they step over it and I see the cage "we're here" I say making them look forward and see the cages that have been taken over by the jungle and I walk over to the open cage that kitty was in and it has a picture of a lion on it "this was where I found kitty" I say jumping on top of it and they look at it as Mani walks over to it and brushes the side of it moving some branches out of the way as she does this
