"Wait so you're telling me your dad actually kidnapped you?" I asked Alison as we got changed in the girls locker room.
"And tied me to a chair." She added. "Apparently it was some stupid test." She sighed and shut her locker.
"At least you got out right?" I asked, putting my stuff into my locker and closing it.
"Yeah but it took me two and a half hours."
I laughed at her and she looked at me. "What? You try it." She defended herself. "It's difficult!"
"Trust me. I've been tied to a lot of chairs." I said. We walked out of the locker room and into the gym. Where there was a giant rock wall in the middle of it.
<•>
Alison and Scott were flirting with each other on the rock wall while the rest of us watched and waited for them to come back down. At some point they started racing. As Alison picked up her speed, she looked down to see that Scott wasn't there. Instead he was looking down at her. Laughing to himself.
That's when Alison kicked him off.
The kids on the gym floor started laughing as Scott fell into the foam mat that cushioned his fall.
Coach bent down and laughed at him. "McCall, I don't know why, but your pain brings me a special kind of joy." He got up and blew his whistle.
"Next two."
Stiles and I got up to the rock wall and waited for the coach to blow his whistle. Once he did, we started to climb.
"So y/n you're coming to the ice rink with us after school right?" Stiles asked, figuring out which plastic rock to cling onto.
"Uhh I don't know." I said. "I'm hanging out with Isaac at my apartment later so I might be able to."
For the last few nights, Isaac was with me at my apartment, we made out on the couch and listened to the record player. After that we'd just sit on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket, finding ourselves in a deep conversation. It was perfect.
"What! You guys made up?!" Stiles asked. The tone in his voice sounded angry.
"Yeah? What's wrong with that?" I asked, tilting my head.
"He's with Derek. Have you forgotten about that?"
"No I haven't Stilinski." I said, continuing to climb up the rock wall. The truth was that is was on my mind more than it should be. The fact that the guy I was... interested in.. wasn't on my side but with Derek. Although I couldn't tell if he was our enemy, or our friend.
"What if he's just using you so you can persuade Scott to join his pack?" Stiles asked. "Did you think about that?"
"The way he kisses me says otherwise." I snapped, annoyed by the third degree interrogation I was getting from him.
Stiles stopped climbing for a minute and looked at me. He hesitated before straightening himself up and continuing to climb.
"So what are you two like a thing now?" He asked.
"I didn't really wanna put a label on it but yeah I guess we are." I said.
"Oh.." Stiles said. He sounded hurt for a moment. I had no clue why he was all of a sudden so interested in my relationship with Isaac. But I felt like I had wounded my Bestfriend somehow.
"Race you to the top." I said, trying to make the awkwardness go away.
I saw his face ease into a smile and begin picking up speed, I did the same. I looked for another rock to cling onto and I found my rhythm. But I looked over to see Stiles already a few feet ahead of me. He rung the bell and began using his harness to glide down swiftly. I jumped off with him and chuckled. Pushing his shoulder and sending him down spinning.
