I got out of my car and shut the door, wincing at the piercing slamming noise that was a lot louder than usual. I adjusted my bag on my shoulder and pushed up my sunglasses. Taking a sip of my "water" bottle, I looked around at all the chatty high school students, who's voices were scratching my brain.

"Did you do the history homework?"

"I think I should ask her out."

"Cant come over tonight. I got grounded for going to that party last night."

I was too hungover for this.

My mood was suddenly relaxed as a familiar figure caught my eye. I turned my head to see the McCall boy walking toward me. He was trying to ignore the twins who were following close behind him.

"Nice shades." Scott said with a dorky smile, while the twins watched us.

I held up my pointer finger as I took another sip from the bottle. Scott raised his brows and waited for me to lower my hand. Taking my mouth away from the straw, I used my thumb to wipe off the red waterline on my lips.

"Too loud." I said coolly. "Everything is too loud."

"Still hungover?" Scott asked.

"Mildly."

"Do you remember anything that happened last night?"

I took a minute to let the memories play out in my head before looking up at the sober werewolf in front of me.

"There was.. something... that attacked us, right?" I asked. "Or was I dreaming that."

Scott nodded proudly, like he was glad he didn't have to explain that part of the night. "Anything else?"

I took another moment to think. "Kira. Kira was there and she saw us- like us when we're.. y'a know."

"Yeah." Scott said. "I took care of that... but anything else? Anything about, I don't know, Stiles maybe?"

"Uh, no." I said. "No most of the night is a whole mess. I barely remember leaving the loft."

I pushed up the sunglasses that slid down my nose. "Thanks by the way, for taking me home."
