The last thing Scott, Stiles, and Alison remembered was being pushed into the ice cold water, and slowly falling into a stage of preconsciousness.Scott had just learned his father was back in Beacon Hills because of the murders. Hopefully when this thing was over, he'd go home.
Scott could barely remember any good memories with his father. and the ones he did remember, involved him being blackout drunk, forced to sleep on the couch by Melissa. Maybe if things were different, Agent McCall would still be in his life. And maybe Scott wouldn't hate him as much as he does.
Alison's thoughts were mostly of Argent before she got pushed into her metal tub. The two of them used to be a normal father and daughter, sometimes she asked herself when things all got so complicated. And maybe if things were different, her mother might still be alive.
Stiles's thoughts were messy before he went under. But that was usual for him. His head was normally in three different places.
But now, it was more like twenty different places.
He thought about his father, about Alison's father, and about Scott's mom. He thought about where Derek was and how Cora was doing. If she was dying or if someone had come up with a miracle to save her.
His mind was spinning with thoughts, but the one thing that stuck to the back of his mind, was the reassuring squeeze on his shoulders that y/n gave him.
Ever since that kiss he couldn't get her out of his mind. His heart ached of how badly he wanted to relive that moment in the locker room. But now it was like a dream, the smell of her vanilla perfume, and the feel of her soft lips on his, it was only a memory.
Maybe if things were different, it could've meant more than what it was.
The three teens woke with a gasp and looked around. They were in a large white room, the many ceiling lights making any shadows nonexistent. It almost looked like a parking garage, with no cars or entryways. It was an empty room, and the three were the only beings that occupied it.
Scott, Stiles, and Alison looked around before getting out of their freezing ice water, their wet clothes dripping on the white ground beneath their bare feet.
They took a minute, too look around, they looked at eachother, unsure of what to do next.
Until something caught their eye.
Behind them, they noticed a big tree stump that was all the way across the room. It looked as if it grew out of the white floor.
With hesitation, and a little bit of fear, they found themselves walking toward the stump.
Walking up to it, they could see how huge it actually was. Scott had thought that he'd seen this tree before, but he didn't know where.
That's what they were there to find out.
