I woke up to a bunch of sounds of people whispering and just noise, I looked over and Ushijima wasn't in the bed. I panicked and grabbed a pepper spray out of my drawer and slowly peeked out the door, and that's when I saw a load of people here. I closed the door and sat back on my bed and saw a note, it was from Ushijima saying "Merry Christmas babe you probably looked outside and saw a bunch of people here, well I invited them so get ready and to help you out they dressed comfy but fancy just a heads up". I put the note in my drawer and took a shower and got ready, I just threw on a simple plaid overall dress and some heels.
I put my hair in a bun and did my makeup and added accessories and they were still making a bunch of noise, so I opened the door and walked out and there were more people than I expected. Ushijimas mom ran up to me and was telling me how great I looked, she must really love the holidays like I mean a lot. After greeting everyone Ushijima pulled me aside and said "By the way you look great but Niko has a surprise for you", I said "Thank you babe and where can I find this surprise"? And he said "When the doorbell rings just go open the door" I said "I like surprises but this is sus".
He said "Don't be like that your gonna love it and plus it's not your only present from her either", I said "Well at least tell me if it's gonna make me cry or scream". And he said "Maybe a little both I don't know babe it's been a long time", and that's when the doorbell rang. I looked and Ushijima and panicked and Niko said "Y/n go open the door NOW", I walked to the door and took and deep breath before I opened it. And to say what was at the door was a surprise I mean it really was and apparently not only for me either. Im guessing you wanna know what was at the door too, well im about to tell you.
At the door was the one and only Sakura and I was frozen I mean we were so busy that we barely kept in touch and she was in college now. I looked at Niko and said "You did this" she smiled and Sakura said "hi girlie long time no see, I jumped into her arms like I hadn't seen her in years and it honestly felt like that". I was so excited about her being here she let me go and said "So I heard my girl lead these pinheads to win nationals". I said "You gave me a job and I did what I had to do", she said "And that's why your gonna sob when it's time for gifts". I said "Wait what do you have planned"?
She said "Oh nothing but let's catch up and let me also go talk to the girls too", all day everyone just talked and had a good time. Tendous mom and Ushijimas parents got along very well and all of the girls and boys were enjoying each others company. I got phone calls from Kenma and Kuro and also Bokuto and Akaashi, Oikawa and Was dropped off their gifts and we did an exchange. The whole day was amazing and after eating it was finally time to open gifts which I was nervous about too, like extremely. I gave my gifts first and everyone loved them and I was glad.
I got each one of the volleyball girls one of those sports rings that we all just kind of wear as an accomplishment. I also put some little stuff in there along with a handwritten letter of everything I wanted to say to them a lot of them cried and it was so heartwarming. Me and Ushijima both gave the parents our gifts which were just a check for a house renovation that they had been thinking about. I got Tendou and the boys similar gifts like the volleyball gifts as well, and as for Ushijima his gift was for later. And now it was time for gift exchange from them to me and ushijima.
Tendou and boys got me gift cards to my favorite places and a HUGE BOBA PLUSH I mean it was the cutest thing ever. As for Ushijimas parents they teamed up with Tendous mom and got me and Ushijima and Niko and Tendou a trip to Dubai for three weeks. To say I was beyond excited was an understatement lets just say a lot of hugging went on and smiles were ear to ear. And the last gift was from the girls and this is what I was most nervous about because I didn't wanna cry but I felt it coming on. The first years gave me and bag that had a cd and a book along with letters from each of them.
Yoshi and Cho said that they made the books and that I shouldn't watch it in front of everyone unless I want them to see me sobbing. Then Kumi and Tori said the same thing but for the CD and now I was reading the letters and by this point the tears were just flowing. I thanked them and now it was time for the second years gift, Mikasa and Azumi and it was just a simple small box. It was a super cute pandora bracelet that had the first years names on one charm with a mini note on the back and same with the second years. It was the cutest thing ever there was a charm with my parents initials, and at this point I was happily sobbing.
But I noticed there was one more and on it was a date and it wasn't the date that me and Ushijima met so I was lost, but then I thought back to then and me and him were together which could only mean that- I gasped. This date was the day that Ushijima told me he loved me oh my god I was a pile of tears by now and everyone was just laughing because I was never so emotional. Then Sakura went to the back and had a cute medium sized box and the girls looked really excited so I opened it and I was a fucking puddle of tears and that's when I knew exactly what Sakura was talking about.
