Eventually I make my grand entrance downstairs, my eyes scanning around for my father. Please be in a good mood, please be in a good mood.
"Move, dick" Titan mumbles as he brushes past me, appearing out of thin air. His curly brown hair is ruffled across his head as he looks down at his phone, typing out a text message.
I scoff, looking back at him with narrowed eyes. If he wasn't taller than me.. and stronger than me, I would literally punch him in that pretty little face of his.
Taking a few more steps, I walk into the kitchen and see my mom cooking, my dad sat on a stool by the island as they talk to each other.
His dark brown hair is product free for once, usually he slicks it back with whatever crap he puts in it — gel or something, I don't know. But today it's in it's natural form.
Fuck, I feel like David Attenborough.
Here we have Kane Braxton Walker, sat in an unusual place in his kitchen with no hair products in at all, a rare sighting I know.. but just look at that! A once in a lifetime opportunity. Treasurable really. It appears we have found a new breed of man. A new version of Kane Walker. It won't be long before this amazing creature too, becomes extinct and turns into nothing but an element in our history.
Ha, Blue Planet sign me the fuck up.
They both notice my presence, looking up and pausing mid-conversation. My dad eyes meet with mine and the corners of his mouth lift into a small smile. "Nice to see you walking straight again,"
My mom chuckles beside him and he joins in with her. I'm glad they find it amusing. "Whatever," I grumble as I slump down onto the bar stool beside him, resting my head in my hands.
"What time is your tattoo today?" My dad asks and I shrug my shoulders, my eyes fixed on the marble counter below me.
"Five or something," I mumble.
"Where are you getting it done?" My mom asks and I lift my head back up slowly, my eyes still trying to adjust to the bright lights around us.
I glance over at her as she turns the oven on, "City of Ink," I tell her and notice my dad raise a brow. "It's a new tattoo shop that opened in town a few weeks ago, apparently it's good."
"What are the reviews like?" My dad asks and I roll my eyes. Here we go.
"What is this, twenty-one questions?" I snap, "The reviews are good. I did my research dad, don't worry" I assure him and he holds his hands up defensively, his brown eyes widening mockingly.
