Last night was single handedly, the most awkward experience of my nineteen years of life.

Whatever game Enzo was playing, I didn't like it one bit.

I've always felt on edge every time he's in my company, but last night's meal was just a completely different feeling. He was asking questions which I think he already knew the answers to, but how.. I don't know.

It was as though he was trying to get a reaction out of me purely for his benefit.

Feeling the need to confide in the one person who could possibly give me any answers, I pick up my phone and click on Rio's name.

Hey, are you free?

I wait for a few seconds before I receive a reply from him.

Yeah. What's up?

I debate whether I should actually say anything to him about it. Maybe it would just make things worse? I mean, he already said that he's related to them but for whatever reason, won't explain it any further.

If I start complaining about Enzo, it might make him angry that I'm basically bitching to him about his relative.

Maybe it's not a good idea.

Just as I'm about to text him back that it was nothing, he starts to call me.

"Hey," I say as I hold the phone to my ear.

"Thea. What's wrong? Did something happen?" He asks quickly, almost cutting my greeting off.

"Uh.. I don't really know," I mumble. The sound of a car starting in the background steals my attention and I furrow my brows. "What are you doing?"

"I'm coming to get you. Where are you, at home?" He asks and I nod, forgetting that he can't actually see me. "Thea, get your ass down to the driveway. I'll be there in a few minutes."

The call disconnects and I stare at the screen, watching as it eventually turns black.

Reaching over to my black converse because they're the first pair of shoes that I see, I pick them up and put them on.

I stand up and take my denim jacket from the back of the chair of my vanity table and fold it over my arm, walking out of my room and down the stairs.

My parents are both out today; my mom at the salon and my dad at the gym so it's just me and the boys at home with Rosetta.

I quickly let her know that I'm going out and leave the house, strolling down the driveway and wait at the bottom for Rio's car.
