In an attempt to get downstairs as quick as possible, I look around trying to find something to put on over my black sports bra, when I eyes land on Rio's hoodie. I pick it up, putting it on and open my door to head downstairs.
The sound of Rex's paws tapping repeatedly on the marble floors makes me smile. I can imagine he's going crazy down there right now. He always gets so hyper when people come to visit. I guess he just loves new faces.
Quickly making my way down the stairs, I walk through the foyer and lean against the wall by the archway to the kitchen, waiting for the front door to open.
My mom appears from the living room, followed by my dad as she opens the door to be greeted by Myla.
"Myla! How are you? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages," my mom beams and I watch as Myla looks up at the ceiling as if she's genuinely thinking about what to say.
"Well today I broke my record for most consecutive days lived," she replies with a nonchalant shrug and I press my lips together, containing a laugh.
Asher walks up to the door and lifts his hands in the air as though we're supposed to be thanking the heavens above that he's entered our house. "Greetings my bitches!" He shouts and I turn around, lifting my hand up to my mouth in an attempt to try my absolute hardest not to laugh at him. He only feeds off of that even more and won't fucking stop if he knows he has an audience.
I watch as he walks straight up to my mom and gives her a huge kiss on the cheek and an extremely over the top hug. After taking away most of the air left inside of her, she steps back a little as she goes to say hello to Harlow.
Asher looks over my dad and extends his arms, a huge smile working it's way onto his face. They do their little man-hug thing and I watch as Myla spots me, her cheeks lifting a little as she smiles happily.
She walks towards me and I offer a warm smile in return. "How's things going with them? Any better?" I ask and she tilts her head, clearly not amused.
"At this point, if a clown invited me into the woods, I'd just go" she says, sounding completely over her parents antics.
My eyes flick up, accidentally making contact with Asher's and I instantly regret it. "Oh my goodness, it this a dream or what, because I'm sure that girl in front of me is Thea Walker but much taller than the one I remember."
"Ash it's literally been a couple of weeks since I last saw you," I deadpan and he rolls his eyes, practically skipping over to me as he wraps his large arms around my neck, almost strangling me in the process.
Asher Jacobs: To the world he is a scary, scary man, but to me and my family, he is a biggest fucking teddy bear you'll ever meet. He is very similar to my dad in that sense. They both come across quite intimidating to the general person but deep down they are just big softies.
