Chapter 26 - A Strong Sacrifice

Astrid's P.O.V

We both started circling each other, daring the other to go first.

''I have been waiting for this day.'' I say to him.

''As Have I, finally I will be able to kill you.'' I snort. I glance at Draven, and without further ado-

We begin. Our swords clanked, I Hit him again- but he blocked it. He had his heart well covered- I knew by then, It's be impossible to kill him with just a sword. I had to use my powers. I threw a fireball, he doges it, I threw on again, but this time, he didn't doge it,

He catches it. ''wanna see some real magic?'' He threw the ball right at me.  I didn't even have time to process it. I fell on the floor. ''So stupid. A girl- they sent a girl to fight. Pathetic.'' I got up and charged at him again.- He sliced open my hand. I hissed in pain. Not one scratch on him. But I would not give up.  I would not let him win me. Anger- Anger was all I felt, I could feel the Queen of me reaching out, I let her out.

''Come at me, loser.'' She says.

He charged, but he was blocked with her one strong swipe, as she knocks his head gear off. She cuts his throat, and black blood start seeping out, Of course he doesn't die. ''whose the weaker one, now?'' She hits him again, and cuts of his left arm, ''That'll teach you not to harm my people again.'' She speaks. With one last every blow, She knocks off all his Armour. Leaving him completely defenselessness. '' Let's end this shall we?'' She hold Forsaken and stabs The demon, but at the same time, He had stabbed her too, near the heart.

They had both stabbed each other. He gives her a bloody smile,

''If I go down, so do you.'' And with that he's falls.

And I welcome the black abyss.

I was about to kill of one of the enemies, But just as I was about to, It look at me and suddenly goes pale, and poofs away in a gray smoke. I look around and see that happening to all of the minions of the demon. Astrid Had done it...

But something I wasn't right. I could feel it, Like we had win but had lost at the same time. I look at Dexter as he comes of his horse, as do I. We both looked at each other, and realized that we both had the same feeling. Aurora runs up to me and hugs me. ''Astrid did it!'' I remove her hands as she looks at me confusingly. The other three come to me too.

''Something isn't right.'' I say. Where was Astrid? Shouldn't she be here by now? I see Draven on a horse, coming towards us. But he didn't look happy.

''No..No..'' Porsche says. I squint my eyes to see what was she was so sad about.

I felt my heart sink lower and lower.

It couldn't be. No, it was impossible! I-

Draven gets of the horse, and his arms, a dead or unconscious Astrid.

I didn't want to know.

''If we give her the right treatment at the right time- she might make it.'' Xander says.

Draven looks at him coldly, ''it's not that she might make it. She will make it.'' 

I really hope your right, Draven. I really do.
