Half an hour had past and Rachel was still sat on the bathroom floor, Ross had left to go get Monica to see if Rachel would talk to her mean while Emma's cries filled the apartment. Rachel stood up and went to soothe her daughter, she knew that she had to leave, she couldn't stay here any longer, however she didn't know if she had the strength to leave her baby behind. "I know sweetheart, I know. I'm sorry that I haven't been the best mummy lately, I love you so much Emma." Rachel was stood in her daughter's room cradling her while tears fell down her face. She kissed her on the forehead and put her down on the floor. "I'm sorry baby."
10 minutes later Rachel had packed her bags, kissed Emma goodbye and left. It broke her heart to leave her little girl behind but she knew it was for the best. She would be safer with Ross. They would both be safer without her.
Ross returned with Monica and was surprised to see the door to the bathroom open."Rach....Rachel." Monica headed into Emma's room to go make sure she was okay while Ross searched the apartment for his girlfriend. "She's not here!" "What" "I said she's not here, Mon she hasn't left the house for days so why now when she knew Emma would be left on her own" "Maybe she left to go pick up some food or something" "Monica I left her crying in the bathroom I don't think she left to go get some food"
Ross was getting more annoyed as the hours passed. It was now 6pm and Rachel hadn't come home yet. Emma had been crying for her mother all day just wanting to be held by her. Ross had tried to comfort his daughter but it hadn't worked so eventually Joey came round and took Emma back to his apartment so that Ross could be alone. He had tried calling his girlfriend over 20 times but it always went to voicemail. Ross stood by the window in their apartment looking on to the streets of New York with tears streaming down his face. "I'm so sorry Rachel. Please just come home."
She had been sitting on the floor of her hotel room for 4 hours now crying on and off. "How did this happen, everything's fell apart." Her hand went to her stomach and gently stroked it. "You'll be safe one day I promise"
