The One Where Someone Returns

It's been one week since Ross told Rachel he's in a relationship and today he's dropping Emma off at Rachel's fathers house so they can spend the day together.
"Daddy?"
"Yes sweetheart"
"I'm hungry"
"Well I'm sure Mummy will give you some delicious food when we get there okay"
"Are we there yet?"
"Not yet a few more minutes Em."
"Are we there now?"
"No."
"Now?"
"Emma Geller Green." Ross heard Emma huff behind him and let out a small chuckle. She's just like her mother he thought. Within a couple of minutes he was pulling into Doctor Greens drive way.
"Look Em we're here, you ready to see Mummy?"
"YESSSS" The young child let out a loud scream expressing how excited she was to see her mother.
"Okay then. Come on let's go" Ross helped his daughter out of the car and saw Rachel stood at the front door.
"Hey Rach."
"Hi Ross" He was surprised to hear some hostility in her voice but chose to ignore it.
"Emma come say hi to mummy" The young girl ran towards Rachel as fast as she could slammed her body against her mothers.
"Hi mummy"
"Hello my love....Oh I've missed you so much" Ross stepped back and watched as the two came together in a tight hug.
"Well I'm going to go I'll pick her up around 8pm okay?"
"Okay"
"Bye Emma"
"Bye Daddy"
Rachel guided her daughter into the house and led her into the sitting room.
"So darling what would you like to do today?"
"Go to the park."
"Oh sweetie Mummy isn't feeling very well today maybe we can go to the park next time okay."
"Okay" Rachel hated seeing the disappointing look on her daughters face but she wasn't ready to go out just yet. She wasn't ready to face the world.
"How about we watch a movie. Any movie you want?"
"DUMBO"
"Dumbo it is, wait here while mummy goes and sets everything up"
Half an hour later they were a quarter of the way through the movie and Emma was curled into her mother's side.
"Mummy?"
"Yes sweetie?"
"I'm hungry"
"Okay let's go see what we can make you to eat."  She  paused the movie and lifted her daughter in the air resting her on her hip.
"Let's see.....How about.... A jam sandwich?"
"Yesssss"
"Okay then."
"Mummy do you know who makes the best Jam sandwich's"
"Hmmm...Auntie Monica?"
"Nope" Rachel put Emma down on the floor as she began gathering ingredients for her daughters lunch.
"Who?"
"Julie." Rachel dropped the knife she was holding and stared at her child.
"Emma who did you say?"
"Julie....She's daddy girlfriend"
Rachel could feel her breathing quicken and had to hold onto the counter to steady herself. Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes.
"Mummy are you okay?" She heard the concern in her daughters voice but was in too much shock to respond.
Emma ran over to the phone and dialled the numbers her father had forced her to learn in case of an emergency.
"Daddy I think there's something wrong with Mummy you need to come quick."

A really quick and short chapter but I'm going to try and get another one up tomorrow. I've been really busy recently so I apologise if the chapter haven't been that great but anyways I hope you guys enjoy this one. Plot ideas are always welcome and appreciated.😊❤️
