Chapter 4: Year 3

the next day

Everyone, usually, in the Gryffindor house are up before breakfast time to get our books ready for our new classes. Luckily, this year, I didn't have any first hour classes. I sit next to Oliver wood and talk to him about quiddich and other things going on at school. I notice George sit across from Fred with a mad, pretty much angry look on his face. Oliver, Fred, and I notice it and I speak up to ask him.

"Georgie, what's wrong?" I ask him, he looks at me and he rolls his eyes. "I don't know, maybe you should go ask your sister, Rachel" he says snarky, I look at Fred. We both go down to the Great Hall and find her wrapped up with Draco. Fred and I stand there, amazed. I look up at him, and he looks down at me, and she spots us.

She rushes to us, and we start bombarding her with questions; how did this happen? why did this happen? when?

"Guys, it happened last night. I think he's really going to change this time, for good" she says, trying to persuade us. I look at Fred, "Okay, Rach. You know, George is bloody mad" I tell her, she explains how she walked in on the both of them kissing. "Bloody hell, no wonder he's so pissed right now. Listen, we support you, and we can talk to George if you need us too" Fred says, I agree with him. She smiles and hugs happily, she's such a Hufflepuff. We say bye to her as we decide to skip breakfast and go back to the common room, there I continue to find George and Oliver talking, as we see, George is ranting. 

Oliver and I make eye contact, and he winks at me. I blush and I join the couch with him, this time closer to him. I start to think about Rach and Draco, how they are an endgame pair but have so many problems. As I continue to think about Rach and Draco, I feel Oliver place his hand on top of mine, connecting our hands. Intentional or not, I get butterflies and blush. "You ready for class, Katie Rae?" Fred asks me, I say yes and we both walk to charms class together. 

"So, do you like Oliver?" he asks me bluntly, still continuing to leave his arm wrapped around me. "I don't know, I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. Why? Are you jealous?" I ask him, teasing him. He chuckles and explains to me that he doesn't want me to get hurt is all, we make it to charms and I sit with Rach, like always. 

"Hey, where'd you get that necklace?" I ask her, pointing out the shiny diamond necklace on her neck, she blushes. "Draco got it for me, isn't it beautiful?" she asks. I say yes to her, but warn her to be careful. I talk to her about how Oliver and I have been flirting with each other, and how Fred was acting weird also. The twins walk into the classroom, and I smile at the two. George waves at Rachel and smiles, she does the same. The twins sit in front of us, and Oliver sits in the table to my right. 

Oliver and I continue to flirt all throughout class. I can see Fred turn back a couple of times, but never fully turn around. Class ends, and now it's study hall in the Great Hall. The four of us walk together, George apologizes to Rach. We all goof around and cast tricks on first years on the way to the Great Hall, these guys are my endgame.
