Chapter 17: Year 4

Rachel

As I say Bye to Katie Rae, I make my way to the Hufflepuff common room. "Hey, Rachel wait up!" I hear a voice exclaim I turn to see Cedric, a smile appears on my face. "Hey Ced!' I exclaim He smiles. "Are you on your way to the Party?" He asks.

I shrug "What party?" I ask he laughs a little "In the common room, we've decided to through a party the night before the First task." He says I smile "Shall we go then?" I ask He nods, Grabbing my hand and racing through the Halls.

We finally make it to the common room, Hearing music through the walls. As we enter my ears instantly get alarmed by the music. "Shall we dance." Cedric says in a jokingly manner. I laugh at his question and Nod. 

He leads me to the Dance floor, Us immediately feeling free and courageous and dance like no one is watching, Cedric grabs my hand and twirls me with the music. There are some bodies I bump into but that's okay "Sometime you only get one chance!" Cedric yells with the music "You got a look in your eyes!" I sing back to Cedric with the Music He grabs both of my hands and spins us both around.

We both stop each other from acting like fools, We're thrown into fits of laughter from being so dizzy. "You truly make me Happy Rachel." Cedric says over the music, I smile "Our Friendship makes me happy Ced." I say. 

"I'm going to go get a drink, would you like something?" He asks I nod "Just fruit punch." I say not wanting an alcohol. He nods and makes his way to the drinks.

"Hey girl!" I hear a voice say I look over and see a girl, I've seen her before around the common room, but never really talked with her. "Hey" I say She says something but I couldn't quite hear her over the Music. "What?" I ask she rolls her eyes and laughs.

"I said I'm wasted!" She yells, I nod my head and laugh a little "I'm Hannah Abbott." She says putting her hand out to shake, I shake her hand "Nice to meet you I'm Rachel Jacobs" I say Her eyes go wide "Ah, a pureblood huh?" She says in a shocking tone I nod, uncomfortably.

She takes a drink, of whatever is in her Solo Cup, She hands it to me "You want some?" She asks I shake my head no "No thanks I don't like alcohol." I say laughing a little "You wont know it till you try it." She says swishing her cup in front of me 

I shrug "A little sip wont hurt." I say I take the cup from her hands and drink it, the rest of it, the taste burning my throat I cough a little as I give the cup back to Hannah She puts her arms around me and cheers "There you go!" She cheers Dancing with me to the music. 

Cedric comes back with my fruit Punch and his drink "What'd you get?" I ask him "Firebolt Whiskey, why?" He asks over the music. 

I immediately take his cup from his hand and drink it as if its water, I'm not sure what's came over me, But I didn't want fruit punch, I wanted to truly Live.

The cup gets taken away from my lips "Are you Bloody serious?" Cedric asks in concern "Rachel, Your sister and George would kill me if they found out you got drunk." He says. I hear Hannah Laugh.

"Who Cares? let the girl live!" Hannah says, her words slurring, because she's so wasted. "Yeah who Cares Ceddy." I say giving him a cute little nickname His eye brows furrow in concern.

"Dance with me" I say grabbing Cedric's hands, I lead him to the dance floor and we continue to Dance. I get closer and Closer to Cedric, as we Dance. Wanting to feel his touch. I wrap my arms around his Neck. "Rach." Is all he says. I smile, "Yes Cedric?"  I question. "Your awfully close to someone you just want to be friends with." He says, His hot breath against my ear.

"Maybe I want to be just a little more than friends, Cedric" I whisper. He smiles, He takes my hand in his, us leaving the dance floor.
