Chapter 19: Year 4

Day before the Yule Ball

The Yule Ball is this weekend and so far no one has asked me, so I just might third wheel with Katie Rae and Harry, I've already asked them, they both were perfectly fine with it.

Katie Rae and I were on our way to Hogsmeade, to go look for our dresses, I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but peach is my favorite right now so maybe something with that color.

As we arrive at one of the shops I meet eyes with Cedric, looking surprised as ever, "Ced, what are you doing here?" I question in curiosity, He laughs a little "I Decided to stop by, look at all the suits he says. I nod in response "I'm here with Katie Rae looking for Dresses" I say. 

"Do you know what color of your dress?" He asks  "Peach." He nods "Then I guess I'll be getting a Peach tie." He says, smiling at me "is this your way of asking me to the yule ball, Cedric?" I ask, both of us inching closer. "Maybe it is, but what's your answer, Jacobs?" He whispers.

I look around to see if Katie Rae was around but she was looking at dresses. I look back at him, He kisses me, as I kiss back. "Is that a yes?" He asks smiling into the kiss I smile back "You idiot, of course it is" I say 

"Then ill see you tomorrow night." He says pulling away from the kiss I smirk at him "Or maybe tonight in your dorm?" I ask pouting my lip He smiles instantly "Of course my darling." is all he says before leaving the shop.

I walk over to the dressing rooms, "Katie Rae are you in one of these." I ask facing the dressing rooms "In here." She says as she steps out in a beautiful emerald dress "I think this is the one, what do you think?" She questions.

My mouth flies open "It looks amazing on you!" I exclaim "Green is definitely your color." I say. she smiles, puts her hands to here cheeks to hide herself blushing "Thank you Rach." She mumbles. "Oh!" She exclaims "I found you a dress, and its peach!" She says getting the dress out of the dressing room.

I quickly try it on, and its a perfect fit "Come out I want to see" Katie Rae says from the other side of the dressing room. I come out of the dressing room Expecting to see Katie Rae, But I see George standing right by her, his face immediately going red once he sees me. 

"George Hey." I say He smiles really big "You look absolutely beautiful." He says I smile at him thank you Georgie." I say "I can't wait to dance with you at the ball." He whispers. I look at him confused. "Wait, we're going together?" I ask him

George gives me a puzzled look "Well i assume we are" He pauses "Right?" I stand there frozen because I just said yes to Cedric. 

"I'm going with Cedric." I say quietly He takes a few steps back "Come again?" He asked in a confused tone "George, the Yule Ball is tomorrow night, I thought you were never going to ask me so I said yes to Cedric." I Admitted. 

"You should have came to talk to me about it!" He yells I jump a little at the tone of his voice. "George can we talk about this later?" I ask, realizing there are others in the store who are peering at us.

"Once you're finished shopping here meet me at my dorm." He commanded, he starts walking off But then I realized I told Cedric I'd meet him in his dorm tonight "George!" I exclaim he stops in his tracks. "I can't tonight, I'm meeting with Cedric to study." I mumble. He stands there frozen in his tracks, his fists balled up.

"I'm done with you Jacobs!" Is all he says, he storms off, slamming the door behind him. Katie Rae looks at me in utter shock "You're going to the Yule Ball with Cedric?" Katie Rae questions I look at her and Nod "Do you like him?" She askes as she crosses her arms.
